Love Greek food. Been there twice. I have not found a good place around me that cooks Greek food in the way I remember it. tzatziki is one of my favorites. I even got to the point where I could drink retsina.

I lived in Athens for just under a year in 1990...LOVE Greek food. Best yogurt and honey in the world. I lived on Souvlaki, tyropita and Milkafe! Man I miss Milkafe and tyropita breakfasts.

same dude i am talking about asked me if i wanted to go with him next year.
said all i have to pay for is my ticket and food and whatever souvenirs i want.

he has family there and would cover all that

i want to go but i feel bad going without my wife.

im still trying to get to south africa but she does not want to go there so leaving her behind for that is no big deal.
Greece though. she would want to go there for sure.

she will not try to stop me from going but i will feel bad doing it without her

but its Greece

Souvlaki and tzatziki all day long.
Feta on everything.

Making your own fresh Tzatziki is the best and it’s really easy pretty much Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon, dill, garlic

Greek food is amazing, spent a few months travelling around Greece over the years. The further away from tourist destinations and more into the beautiful rural areas you will find the food will get even better! Fresh organic food from Garden to Plate!

Greek Salad is my favourite, mmmmm feta.... Must go back soon

Love Greek food, especially loukaniko, which is very hard to find where I live. Grilled, sliced and served on top of pasta with a bit of browned butter and grated mizithra cheese...WOW!

Wash it down with a cold glass of retsina... heaven!

Also love pastitsio (sp.?).

A a nice slice of galatiburiko with a cup of Turkish-style coffee so thick you could stand a spoon in it.

OPA!!

I LOVE Greek food. We have a Greek Festival here every year and damn the food is AMAZING. I can't wait to go this year and bring my Dutch bf who is visiting me in the states at the time of this festival. I told him to be prepared to feast!

My favorite is pastichio.

I posted my recipe years ago when I was posting a ton of my recipes. I have so many left to add but after having my son I just do not have the time to add recipes like i use to.

Anyway here is my Mblah's Pastichio recipe
