US President threaten to fire anyone in govt. if they did not help to the hurricane

From the news I've been seeing I've never seen such fast action from all govt agencies helping out. Politics aside, the US President is a people's President.
He's keeping low on this which I think he should.

Funny, I don't remember obama getting his dainty hands dirty cleaning up any of the storm damaged sites he visited while he was in office.

I did hear the governor of South Carolina say the White House was more involved than ever on this storm. Some of the river flooding is shaping up to be worse than Matthews a couple years ago and rivers won't crest until later in the week in both North Carolina and South Carolina. Several water rescues are taking place near Wilmington I heard this morning. I heard the Louisiana Cajun navy was helping out with rescues. Trump has a lot of supporters in the area including the governor of South Carolina. I believe Trump is very involved. He's planning a trip to North Carolina later in the week if it doesn't interfere with operations for search and rescue, etc. I decided to post since I live in South Carolina and may hear a lot more than others. If someone only read the New York Times, they might not hear much real news. I heard they reported Nikki Haley orders $52000 curtains but the Obama administration did that without her having any say in the matter and the Times only put a tiny correction in small print. Fake news is everywhere. I thought this storm was overhyped but the flood threat appears real now.

My area is just getting light rain in western South Carolina. No problem here though. It was a bit dry. No rain showing up on radar but I hear water dripping off my roof. I guess heavy drizzle near the center of the storm doesn't show up on radar.

In times of need, the people want someone in charge to make a difference and take notice of what's happening. Despite the hatred for Trump, you can't deny that he wants to help.

Although Trump could save a falling baby and people would still find a way to put a bad spin on it.

Terrible times, but hopefully everyone stays safe.

It takes police and other rescue workers and resources away from helping those that need it. It's usually not until a week or two later after search and rescue efforts have been called off that they visit the area.

It's common sense.

Yes the gubment did a good job this time. But keep in mind that certain facilities that are of the upmost importance are in those areas. I can almost guarantee that if those did not exist this swift action wouldn’t have been taken.

Some of the news that we get overseas is showing that the US President is pro American, yet the american news (foreign owned) are showing the opposite of how distasteful he is toward the American citizen. Sucks i tell you.

No, he flew over for the reasons I stated previously and everyone was giving him crap because he didn't land. He didn't go to New Orleans until much later.

New Orleans was such a mess because the city and state completely failed to declare an emergency and warn people of the dangers. Not to mention their failure to maintain the levees and drainage systems.

Even before last years hurricane season, only about 12 of the 40 or so pumps were working.

New Orleans is and always has been a mismanaged corrupt hell hole.
