Yes the gubment did a good job this time. But keep in mind that certain facilities that are of the upmost importance are in those areas. I can almost guarantee that if those did not exist this swift action wouldn’t have been taken.

It takes police and other rescue workers and resources away from helping those that need it. It's usually not until a week or two later after search and rescue efforts have been called off that they visit the area.
