Android box or Firestick. how do you roll?

i never owned a fire stick but i have messed with them at a buddies house.

tonight bought an android box. all loaded up with the repositories.

this thing is awesome man. imo it smokes the fire stick.

kodi on it just like fire stick but tons of other stuff too.
streams in 4k. obviously you need a tv capable of 4k but it streams in 4k.

i highly recommend these boxes.

probably going to dump netflix now


what are your thoughts?

definitely worth the 1 time purchase. you can get a 1 gig box for $35

wifi or wired straight to your router. thats what i did

nothing illegal about it. perfectly legal to stream content.

im looking at all the movie channels. all the major news stations. left and right.
foreign news stations.

you can put a micro in it.

dig it

No clue to using either of those things. I roll with a Topomatic cigarette machine.

Great app is TVstreams now. ...its just like cable no buffering, no loading, just turn to the channel and watch,25 bucks a month no contracts, 500 channels all hi def alot of 4k, all the movie channels , all the sports packages, adult channels, in demands with movies still in theaters Everything netflix and Hulu has

All the Pay per view events free.. I think they still have a free trial too.

another one of my favorites apps is Mobdro, its free. We never even use our Kodi app anymore..

i have only had it for a day. i just cant imagine tv stream would offer anything that mobdro does not offer.

thus far i have kodi, mobdro and terrarium loaded.

The xbmc (kodi now) plugins are nice, but depend on services that are under constant attack by big money.

Iirc the current release is called "placenta", and I give it six months before someone goes to prison and the software is replaced with another one.

Do yourself a favor, throw the tv out and buy some land.

I like modbro.

But TV streams now is just like having the top tier cable package .

An it streams most of the stations out of Canada , you can turn to movie on their regular channels and they cuss and show boobs then go to commercial .

Placenta is ok it comes with most Kodi builds , Kodi is just slow and buffers and sometimes it takes 20 minutes just to start a show.

i use kodi on a htpc

for 2.99 a month a vpn is well worth it

Man I still wish I would have gone that route instead of the Firestick. But I am still satisfied with the Firestick. Mine seem to lag on certain apps but I expected that. IDK if the stick runs 4K but IDC seeing as I don’t have a TV that is 4K. I am very satisfied with OLED 1080p.

One thing that I think I may get is a VevoStick by ASUS. It runs Windows and has some decent reviews.

i dont have a 4k tv but i have been wanting one for a while. i was holding out because the only content i was able to grab in 4k were netflix originals. not with this box i can better justify the tv.

AWH MAN....Now I am playing on Amazon and just about ready to finalize the transaction. But I will show some restraint. Maybe I will look into getting an Android box instead.....

Watching films that people have to pay to watch..................but you watch it for free?

as i understand it it is because you are not downloading or hosting anything.
all you are doing is streaming

the firestick and the android box scrape the internet and basically point you to where the stream is.


like torrents are illegal. you search it. you download it. major no no

with these boxes you search it. the box scrapes the internet and says click right here.
then you click and watch

you can get one on there for 35. 1 gig with a regular remote and you can buy one of those keyboards for 13 bucks.
