That's right. Parks are a health issue for small dogs, they are too close to the ground.

Right. I'm sure my dog is happy. My wife treats him like a king. She makes homemade dogs food for him, chicken breast, veggies and rice.

That thing looks so good that one day I put it in my lunch box by mistake.

It's not as much about training your dog to hold it for many hours as it is learning your dog's body rhythms.

Sure there will be times when the dog is holding it, but just like with your own body, once it gets set on a clock/timer, your dog's body will run on a rhythm. His bowels will tend to want to empty at a certain time and he'll tend to need to pee at certain times too. Prt of potty training or housebreaking is getting those natural rhythms figured out and schedule of walking set around them so the dog isn't straining to hold for long periods of time.

The other part is training the dog to recognize the house as his den. Dogs don't like messing where they sleep, so they'll avoid it whenever possible.

Between the two, you're supposed to find a schedule that works well for both dog and owner.

The pads are good. The dog doesn't need to wait until we walk him. The pads are additional.

That's right. But I don't know why people don't understand what I'm trying to say.

I use the pads because I don't think is right to make the dog hold it until we walk him.

You should go on the natural way... walk the dog it is.
