SAAB is expected to select a US location by mid-year. Meanwhile they're marketing the aircraft to potential foreign customers. Boeing is talking about
potential sales of up to 2600 airframes between the US and foreign customers.
From a cost perspective, it's a great choice. It's only about a 5 hour drive to St Louis, so they can minimize shipping costs per airframe section
sent.
Its a cool looking bird. Kind of predator like. The rear viability from the aft seat looks iffy.
Also on a personal note: Most of us are not 10 and anybody that would watch this video is pretty much a hard core AV Geek so just show us the footage
we don't need a curated sound track
The T-1 and T-2 prototypes have completed about 80% of Phase One testing. They're meeting all required capabilities, and have met their goal
capabilities in most areas(several haven't pushed to their goal yet).

Yeah a program that actually runs to schedule for once. Nice.
I wonder if this experience will embolden SAAB to push for developing the next generation replacement for the Gripen now?
And production is delayed a year minimum. In addition to early design delays, critical parts shortages, they've also discovered wing rock at high AoA
that will require more testing.
