TheRedneck needs some love...

Tomorrow morning @7:30 AM, our resident redneck, TheRedneck, is undergoing major heart surgery.

Over the past several years, he and I, through very long conversations, have become very good friends. Please join with me in wishing him the best in his surgery.

I know that many of you disagree with him on a regular basis, but this is much more important than any mere political disagreements you may have with him could, or should, ever be. You will notice I said you, as I'm generally in agreement with him.

Any prayers or good wishes will certainly be welcome, both by his friends, and his family.

Prayers and healing for Redneck. He only has to let the doctors do their wonders and to know that we are thinking of him, standing beside him at his bed, and cheering him on with soft and warm prayers. Get better fast and get back on here. I have always enjoyed his comments.

Dear Lord, please guide the hands of the doctors performing heart surgery on TheRedneck so that he will be healed, given new strength, long life, peace and comfort. May your constant love and mercy continue to surround him. Amen.

He always seemed like a pretty good guy. Certainly someone I'd be happy to buy drinks for at the bar.

Hope everything goes well for him.

He'll pull through OK and be back in no time.

Nothing wrong with some "real" bad food. Not all fat is bad, etc.

I'm sure someone will bring him "the good stuff", maybe even a beer or two. Im a scotch man myself, I'd be happy to send him a bottle when he gets out. You know, to help him get back on his feet.

Ok, there's good bad and then there's bad bad, that pile of chocolate cookies is definitely bad bad. Although probably delicious.

Fourth day after my surgery, a friend snuck in a grande mocha Frappuccino for me.

Decaf, so it wouldn’t trip the EKG.
