Ummm...if as the gentleman states that true liberals hide within the ranks of leftists...then that would merely mean they have been co-opted and are therefore no longer liberal...rather they are leftist...

I would also contend that most here on ATS...and in the greater unwashed...that are often accused of being right wing extremists...are merely an admixture of Liberal and Libertarian...with some conservative traits thrown in for good measure...

We are the truly homeless ones...partyless...and pragmatic...

You sir, YouSir, would be correct, sir. I don't trust the RNC any more than I do the DNC. Unfortunately, at least up until this point in my life, the only viable course, at least from the standpoint of politics, has been to dance with the one who brung ya.

I'm 53 years old, and I think what Leftists fail to understand is that for over 30 years, I've watched the Country that I love, the Country that members of my family died to protect, from WWII through the Gulf war, damn near cease to exist because no one was willing to stand up and really lead.

Not a single Commander-in-Chief during that time has been truly willing to put balls to the wall and go all in. Not a single one.

Donald Trump is far from perfect, and I don't know the man personally, but from where I'm sitting, he at least has the balls to put it all on the line, and not make every decision contingent on what people THINK of him.

That's a rare and precious thing in today's political climate.

If I turn out to be wrong about him, so be it. I am, and will be, a big enough man to admit I was wrong.

I just wonder how many others, on either side, can say the same if or when the time comes.

The video is discussing the difference between a classical liberal and a leftist, as he mentions the term liberal no longer holds the same meaning. This is the main reason I prefer to label myself a libertarian rather than a liberal or even classical liberal.

That was a good video I must say. But I did notice some propaganda thrown in at the end.

I heard him say the the left fears the right and was taught to do so. That I disagree with immensely. I was raised in a very left environment, but my parents never feared the right. They just think the other is stupid just as the right believes the left is stupid. So I believe fear was not the best word to use. Actually that entire sentence should have been changed.

Being brought up in that environment made me think a lot about what is actually going on. And I have come to realize that it’s all bull snip.A classic liberal is essentially the right. So why even have this two party system? It makes no sense to me whatsoever. Both sides that are called far left or right is just indoctrination as to keep our minds busy and not see what is actually going on.

Essentially if we stuck to the constitution and what our country was founded and based on we would all be libretarians.

The UK has never been a socialist state and it certainly hasn't 'failed'.

I think the same would apply to both Canada and New Zealand, but I'm not 100% sure.

I know it’s happening but what I am suggesting and am also saying that it is not just the left but also the right. Far right groups have hurt more people than the far left has. If for one second you don’t believe that than you are ignorant and fall for crap you read on the web and watch on TV. Both far sides have a way of doing what they do. My young brain seems to be not getting this “neo-Marxism” idea. I had to google that one and it still does not make sense to me. I get the whole whole anarchy/Marxism idea though I don’t like it. But how did the video imply that idea. I don’t believe this video at any point referenced that in any way. Now I could be wrong though. Can you please explain this to me?
