And, once it happens the odds of it not happening are irrelevant.

that's true.

I just wonder if it is possible to know the truth.

# happens.

Truth.

Some people are terrified by that thought so they come up with all sorts of "reasons." God. Simulated universe. All kinds of #.

I hear that. Things can just be.

Hope your riding the storm without incident. Right at 1 year ago, we were doing Harvey out here.

Seems to be a reoccurring pattern for the planet.

In your case it was Taylor Coleridge not Taylor Swift that set off my coincidence alarm LOL!

coincidences simply further prove the concepts of infinity.

I could try to calculate the chances of the women having the same social security number and birth date and name and the odds would be theta*exp*1000000000000000000000000000
to infinity to 1.

the fact that that one time is plausible and actually happened in your lifetime, simply by chance, is what the human brain tries to accept. and because the very concept of infinity is seemingly improbable, our brain introduces an easier way to deal with and conceptualize this chance event: we call them coincidences.

it's just odds against infinity, when they do happen, we construe them as coincidences, because we can't visualize the very thing those odds are against- infinity.

We're good.

I'm pretty sure I just happened to watching the radar when the eye collapsed yesterday afternoon. Poof!

That's quite cool.

If it wasn't a coincidence then don't let it go to your head.

Glad you're good.

I believe in synchronicity which is sort of like coincidence, I see it almost everyday. Why do you think it is sinister? In the video most were saved by the coincidence, I doubt this is death like Final Destination.

Your Simpsons ones are not from 2000 like you claim, do a little bit of research.

Good Catch!

To be clear I find this to be a high quality OP regardless of if I believe in it or not.

To me the line "I dont believe in coincidences" is just something CT's use to fit their narrative.

For example your thread has those Simpsons images as proof of something woo woo but the reality of it is both were created after the real life events that inspired them.

For the first image with him on the steps and at the podium:

First group of Simpsons images debunked

"They were taken from a short video entitled ā€œTrumpastic Voyage,ā€ which was posted to the ā€œAnimation Dominationā€ YouTube channel page on 7 July 2015, after Trump had announced that he would be seeking the Republican presidential nomination for 2016

For the second image of him touching the globe:

Second Simpsons Image Debunked

However, ā€œThe Simpsonsā€ image is not from a 2002 episode; rather, the screenshot comes from a short video posted to ā€œThe Simpsonsā€ Facebook page on 26 May 2017 ā€” after Trumpā€™s visit to Saudi Arabia. The ā€œpictureā€ can be seen on a wall leading up to the office of Vice President Mike Pence at the 6 second mark of the following video:

I was smoking a cigarette in my backyard, when I was done I was going to have another. Then I thought "you know what, I will go in my front yard instead". Which I never do. Instead of using the gate to go in the front I go through my house. That is when I find my grandma chocking. So I give her the Heimlich maneuver saving her life. Turns out she was choking on a piece of ham.

That is all I got... I am not sure if that counts or not.

P.S. I quit cigarettes since then.

Also with the coin thing in the video, I guessed one truth right
