Even if the media is owned by a handful of people and they repeat the same messages, that is their right.
...fair enough. In that case, its our right to investigate those handful of people.

The reason we want the MSM fined or even shut down is not to stifle freedom of speech but because all major news organizations are owned by a handful of people that all repeat the same messages, sometimes verbatim. This points to them being owned by the same group of people. Talk about Unconstitutional! Articles like these, frame us as anti-free-speech and anti-free-market, when its actually the covert agenda of the MSM that is both.
The entire point of the freedom of the press is to spread an idea/your beliefs to others. That right still exists, whether the press is owned by a handful of people that repeat the same messages or not.
So yes, your reasoning is to stifle free speech and freedom of the press.

If they are shown to be run by organized crime, then yes, dismantle them.

Sure, but to want to "dismantle" them for no good reason?

I thought the OP was about the news. The news is not a platform to "spread an idea/your beliefs to others", it's NEWS. Expecting impartiality and facts in the news is not stifling free speech. They are free to spread their ideas/beliefs on the Editorial page, just keep your opinions out of my news.

There are not many outright falsehoods in the news, and the ones that there are are vastly outnumbered by conservative falsehoods from religion and politics and especially the President.
that's false, however I wouldn't expect a hyper partisan user such as yourself to understand that.

If that is true, you have proof of crimes committed, right?
You're not just saying things that sound good, yet have no root in reality, right?
