Google maps is a nuisance sometimes and acts like it's gone full troll AI. A few weeks back we were using it to find a market on foot. We followed the directions and the actual destination got further and further away! That's serious trollin'.

I wonder if they link up phone lines with other dimensions using d-wave quantum computing.

Another ridiculous thread.
And to the OP, I have no idea what your problem is with Google maps, it always works great for me. But if you don't like it then by all means feel free to go back to the paper variety and see how it goes for you.

Here's a bit of a "woo" explanation for some of your experiences with technology:
I recall there being a "theory" that we are able to inadvertently influence technology through strong negative emotions.
If you've ever had a really bad day where an unprecedented number of technological devices seemed to malfunction, the theory postulates that a positive feedback cycle of negative emotions is to blame.
I believe this theory is probably at the root of the establishment of the PEAR project.
I'm just going from memory. But that might give you something to research when you have time.

Severe stress would fall under this category, wouldn't it?

Yep. And that level of stress continues to build the more your technology malfunctions.

No kidding. I do not remember getting this stressed over an atlas, or a drawing journal, pencil, and eraser. I did 600 mile trips in the car using little more than a paper map before technology came and wrecked things.
