Wow i'm in!

I've been lurking here forever.
Finally i have gathered the courage to join you folks. Well...
I'm from Turkey and on mobile so sorry for any mistakes beforehand.
What i can tell about myself is a little backstory i guess.
First of all i was raised a Muslim. Not that the jihadist types you see all over the media but the basics like believe in Allah and Mohammed. No one in my family wears a hijab. And we like drinking... And i can give you many recipes for side dishes for drinking raki.
And yes i loooove cooking.
I am also an artist, or at least i am trying to be one.
Let's say i am dabbling in that field.
I have a husband and a son. And two dogs. And weirdly lost animals somehow find me. I have taken care of wild ducks, tortoises, crows, dogs, cats rabbits, hawks and many more. Some lived and some had their last days in peace.
I have an interest in the unexplained. I don't necessarily believe in everything but i like the idea of possibility.
This is, i guess, is enough about me for now. I could go on forever but it would be about me me me me...
I don't talk about me that much.
But i would love to be in a conversation with you.

Hello, glad to meet you. I was raised Catholic and no I am not a pedophile nor are any of my family members. Crazy days when we have to place a disclaimer on our religious beliefs.

You mention you are interested in the nature of death, I look forward to your posts on the subject. I have seen many people take their last breath (hospice and geriatric registered nurse), and I can tell you there is a definite aura that leaves the person at that time. It is hard to explain the experience.

Yes. I think it has become too public. (Or maybe it always was.) What you believe or not should be more personal. I don't need to know what anybody prays to as i don't need to know what they eat for breakfast.
Death is interesting. Just like life. The process of dying is scary while it is the ultimate nature of life. Things die so other things eat it to live. It is normal... and yet it isn't...
