Problems on tablet

For a few days now I have issues with some buttons. Stars, flags, the menu are non-responsive sometimes, the emojis also don't work anymore, more often than not actually. I had to refresh two times to click on thread titles, can't choose the page of a thread...
It's not my device.
Can someone help me?

I've seen posts by members/staff saying they've had issues too. The only workaround that seems to apply is messing with the zoom. It's worked for them so it's a fix...of sorts.

I've tested it on an iPad and android device and everything is the same. No problems at all. It only seems to affect some members.

Sorry I can't offer more help. The guys with the 'zoom' fix will turn up and help.

I tried that to zoom in to give stars but it's also quite annoying because it still takes five to ten times and sometimes still doesn't help.

I was getting that star problem a year ago on a new Samsung phone. It'd come and go and some posts would be starrable and others not at all. Have you seen that teasing little green outline? It's like the star is flashing a bit of leg and smiling. Makes you think it's gonna turn full green and then *pop* back to nothing.

The fact it came and went makes me think it's something to do with the site interacting with the device. The site can't always be wrong and neither can be the device. There must be some unusual combination of factors in play. This makes intuitive sense because it explains why a few members have the issue temporarily and teh majority don't.

had the no-see replies thing for about 6 hrs Wed....fixed itself....no issues since....I never have had issues on here...

For a while, hitting star, flag or even quote, take time to be seen. It's not specific to a device, a platform or anything else, it is just the result of whence bones are all that is left.

Not just here either, I fear..

What do we do? Moaning doesn't change fate; all there is, is terminable acceptance.

That is interesting, I have just flashed my phone with a new rom, and the browser sucked, so I installed firefox for android. With the chrome version, I could hit till I finally got a star to register.. with ff, no luck at all and had to zoom in. I still had the same issue of them either appearing instantly, or after some time. Like the server was overcome by something else, but had known I clicked it. I'd go back to a post, and it was there.

I think the zoom thing is a browser specific attribute of phone OS's.. but the lag and inability to do other things, is absolutely server related.

I dropped my annunaki tablet, ended up destroying 13 realities and cracking 46 more. Even to this day there are universes split in two, barely noticeable except for all that mandela talk.

The "Help Mods... Fix ATS" thread explains what is happening.

It is not you or your tablet!

When you login, the ads are supposed to go away. They had been until recently. Now, they are transparent and you cannot see them but they are still on the screen blocking the Flag, sometimes the emojis (at least the ones on the right hand side), covering the text box on posting and editing, etc.

You can scroll down to the bottom of the thread and hit the flag button down there. At least that is what I have been doing.

But that thread has been closed. Thanks for the explanation. I'm using mobile there's no flag at the bottom.

I would have thought tablet looked like the PC version. I guess you really do learn something new!!

Not sure why they closed that thread because there are still obvious issues. (And no I have not resized my browser...)

Can you turn the theme tune down? every time I see you I hear REM play, and my volume control is busted.

I felt conscience about it too.😊


Edit: future reference for now. If you want to flag a post while on the tablet, don't use the flag at the top of a page. Instead wait for a couple of post, the use the flag at the bottom of the page to press on. get that flag as close the the bottom of your screen as possible to click.
There is an invisible vertical advertisement on the left of screen that extends low thus blocking the flag..
It appears like this image on pc's. Don't worry about the right as coding appears for pc's. Just refresh if on pc and it will go away.
