All you do is deflect, dance around, and claim victory when called to prove your point.

I am 1,000,000% in favor of separation of church and state. Nothing good has come from sticking religion into a government, and every honorable and moral thing that people claim comes from religion can indeed be found in non-religious people as well.
I love that they put this statue of Baphomet up, but they shouldn't have had to in the first place. Take down the 10 commandment statue as well, it has no reason to be there.

That doesn't mean I think the 10 commandments are inherently wrong or anything like that, they're a pretty decent set of rules to live by. But, I'd wager the majority of Christians don't live by them and/or cherry-pick which ones to follow, but will get incredibly upset when a non-Christian says they don't need to see the list of rules to live as a moral person.

Religion has no place in today's society. If you want to celebrate a particular religion in private, or come together as a group of fellow worshipers, go for it. But don't try to force religion onto others under the guise of "spreading the good word".

You don't know what research I have and haven't done. "Go google it" doesn't prove your point. It's just a vague command that could end up with any result. If you want to change my thinking point me to what led you to believe what you do. Stop being lazy and stop being obnoxious. I'm trying to talk to you in good faith but you keep acting like a grade A ass.

The "Greaves" who is describing what it stands for in the article is Lucien Greaves, the co-founder of the Satanic Temple. I'm going to take his word for it on what it means over someone who is interpreting it to mean something that it doesn't stand for.
If someone looks at a caduceus and sees a penis, that's on them, not the person who carved it.

A story about walking downtown with a guy named "lethargic" (All names have been hidden to protect the identity of those involved.

So me and my friend "Lethargic" were walking downtown when a woman walked past holding a banana.

"lathargic" looks over, "Dude, did you see that chick just walking around holding a penis"

Me- "Dude, I'm pretty sure that was a banana"

"lathargic" "Whatever man, just ignore the fact she was walking around with a penis in her hand because it doesn't fit into your premade decision".

So you think it has absolutely zero symbolic meaning, on a statue that is soaked in symbolic meaning?

I mean at the end of the day I honestly don't care if I change your mind, however there are multitude of images which go for the full penis with snakes, other use a scrotum sack base etc.

Told you google if it was a penis, or if he had a penis, I mean c'mon its a hermaphrodite, breast from a woman, penis from the male aspect.

If I wanna say it's pedo-esque that's my call.

But Yeah, I'm sure you're research was extensive.

Wow. This story sounds eerily familiar.

No. I literally said it is the caduceus which has TONS of symbolic meaning. I just said it doesn't symbolize what YOU are saying it symbolizes. Don't create a false equivalency.

See. This is what I'm talking about. "Go google it" isn't a convincing argument to anyone but yourself. Where are the historical articles, texts, and supporting documentation that ancients and modern users of the symbol (unironically) agree with what you are saying? Just because it looks like a penis to you doesn't mean that's what it represents to the ones who use the symbol regularly. And the Satanic Temple, the people who USED the symbol aren't saying it means an erect penis either.

Coming from the guy telling people with sources they are wrong.... Lol.

This is a two lane road man, I would try and explain negotiation and reciprocity to you but I don't think you'd understand.

Dude, I was just trolling you.

It was clearly a dick with two snakes around it. Happens all the time to goats out in the pasture. Roughly translated from an old Greek idiom is the derived saying "Get your goat".

You've yet to prove yourself right.

Post something (other than "google it" or "do some of your own research") that proves your point. Because we have done our research, and have posted descriptions explaining what it actually stands for.

Care to argue the points made in the article I posted, or are you just going to keep saying, "I'm still right, you're wrong" with nothing to back that up?

If so, I'm done with this conversation.

The caduceus alone, no big deal.

Coming out of Satan's mom's pants, different story.

And you know that.

I don't think it gets any more obvious than this:

I mean, granted, the modern version has the snakes wrapping around the pin more than in the statue, but that's easily chalked up to modern stylizing. I don't understand how you can think it is anything else unless you are willfully trying to see it as something else.

Suck on this;

Lévi's depiction of Baphomet is similar to that of The Devil in early Tarot.[48] Lévi, working with correspondences different from those later used by S. L. MacGregor Mathers, "equated the Devil Tarot key with Mercury," giving "his figure Mercury's caduceus, rising like a phallus from his groin."[49]
