A Republican state politician in Florida has quit after being caught faking her education, or rather taking a picture of herself with a college diploma that the college says she never earned. There have been a lot of low points in American politics in the last few years, and here is yet another one. Maybe this is part of why new polls show the Democratic advantage widening?

It's strange people think they can get away with shenanigans like that. Don't they get that their lives will be under a microscope and vetting has taken on a whole new dimension? What a shame for the mentality that thinks it's okay to try and fool the public like that. What a joke. Lets hope all person's striving to represent and lead their fellow citizens of the US are scrutinized well and called out and stopped for behavior like this.

So, you can get into the Whitehouse with a fake birth certificate if you're a democrat. But a fake diploma is a career ender for a republican?

Out of interest, if she received campaign funding from whether, donations, government or sponsored gifts.

Does she have to pay that back. Can she be criminally indicted for false and misleading info. Can she be sued by the school for dragging their name through her dung heap?

Hope so. May her pay for the deception. Could make others think twice about running for an office position.

I'm going to bet the polls say that Democrats will win by 7 points. Just going by history here.

As far as education goes, plenty of Democrats out there with Ivy league educations that can't seem to do simple math, don't understand basic economics and have some weird reading comprehension problem where they don't understand simple phrases like "shall not be infringed."

So please pin your hopes on this lone individual being your canary in the mine shaft.
