I have not seen any Doom Porn about Fukushima for a while now. Many people evidently consider the problem being taken care of I suppose... or nothing we can do about it so ignore.... ?

The video talks and shows:

The three robots sent into the reactor area have all died within the first hour, never to return. (sounds rather dramatic)

In the following video there is a discussion about the 400 tons of cesium 134 contaminated water being released into the Pacific every day since the melt down. They have to keep what is left of the cores cool with ocean water to avoid a bigger calamity . Many people already knows this..

Supposedly a 100% mortality rate of the Orca young within the first year of life ... if true then, "insert comment you are comfortable with "!

Salmon in Canada with tumors and uneatable with pics along with other fish.

Mutated wasp (big suckers too) that carry a sting several time greater than your normal wasp.. Other stuff to cap it all off and worth a view for those who are interested in an old story with supposedly updated results...

Anyway for those who need their monthly doom porn fix the video has just about everything a doom porn thread could ask for.. Is any of this true, you decide..

I really am surprised there has not been a big big huge international effort to fix this but...maybe everyone realizes nothing can really be done ???????????????

It's against the law to report any events of Fukushima without Japanese govt. permission. Most people know this by now.

I live here.

I do remember you living in Japan. Good thing about ATS is we have members from all over the globe.

Did the video have anything you would disagree with..?

We have been getting the edge of the last few typhoons that were in your area for the last two weeks... Been raining every day.. All the golf course are flooded which makes putting rather difficult..

I can remember the Chernobyl disaster and that they put some huge concrete type dome thing over the reactor to stop radioactive dust and material from spreading but I think the reactor exploded in that case.

An uneducated but well-meaning question:

Would it help if they placed a small explosive in the radioactive material in order to prevent it melting-down or whatever it is doing that needs 400 tons of water each day to keep it "cool"?

Tepco are idiots.

"Bicycles left waiting for owners are rusting away and all the tires are........flat!!!!!!!", the way he delivered the line just cracked me up.

I cant believe we are being given any truth as to the long term damage caused by this event, i just hope and pray that the people of Japan are not long term affected by this, such a wonderful country lets hope they can fully recover

Typhoon # 15 is heading toward Kyushu, just south of me. Looks like it might be headed toward Taiwan, a bit early to tell yet.
Well, the video what was on it is public news. It is true the space for water storage is almost out of room now.
I think he forgot to mention that the contaminated soil has been shipped all around Japan.
I heard (maybe wrong) But TEPCO maybe closing all its plants. My wife's friend worked at the power plant but retired and says currently there is NO technology for this type of clean up. Maybe in 50 years.
They aren't really testing the fish here that I know of. But yes, water is being released into the ocean, can't be helped.
Not sure about all the diseased fish, a ton of pollution went into the ocean from household cleaners to gasoline, you know what I mean. That alone will cause major problems.
I know Hong Kong did ban fish from Japan, but I think they are quietly exporting it. Sushi is big business there these days.
Aren't you in Taiwan?

Well, we just never know. Can't fish near Fukushima yet, that we know. And fish just don't stay put, they are seasonal fish and travel.

No I am (in LOS or the land of smiles) out in the jungle on our farm in S.E. Asia.. 30 minutes to the closest town.. But.. a good life for me. Right now since it is the rainy season the roads to town are mostly pot holes which sucks for any vehicle..

Once we get a break in the rain I expect they will fix the roads like they do every year. I hope so ! I wish I could invent an asphalt that could withstand the conditions we face each year. Concert usually last two or three years if it is 6" thick with rebar.. the road bed gets soft with all the rain and water seeps through the road surface..Then the overloaded trucks tear the roads up to the point of making them almost impassable. Otherwise just another day in paradise.

Surely the fish know better and stay away plus they are aware of the ban.

That guy in the video is weird and almost doesn't seem real. Secondly does this not have the setup of a Godzilla movie? Radiation leaking into the pacific.

I'm surrounded by rice paddies. Nice. Get to see a lot of seasonal wildlife. Ducks are now coming in.

I remember when the first Godzilla movie came out with Raymond Burr... For a guy in a rubber suit and miniatures to work with it really was a well done movie for it's time..

Godzilla was/is the King of all monsters which in subsequent movies he had to put all the lessor monsters down for the count.. PLUS... no matter how many times they kill him off he keeps on keeping on.. !! I think they are making another Godzilla movie as of this date ? A lot of millage out of him at the box office for sure... Yep they are !
Meet Eco Godzilla !! What will they think of next ?

He is like the narrator from Ancient Aliens, and a weird real life Troma film.

"But could Fukushima be the end of the Human Race? Radiation Experts, say yes." *images of cancerous fish, radiation maps, and deformed wasps...*

I can't say I'm even worried any more. We're done for, so I will pop my cancer pimples with exuberant curiosity.. "Ahh so that's what it feels like inside my skull! The more ya know, huh!"

I do think I have read, for the past couple of years, that there have been tests of the Pacific ocean off the US coast showing elevated samples of radiation. However, the main stream media don't seem concerned.

I would attempt to bring this up in discussions with associates and no one seemed alarmed. In the least you would think California would be extremely concerned not to mention Hawaii. So, what gives?

And the fact that that the ocean continues to be polluted and more danger due to typhoons in Japan and ....nothing.
