That was probably the most short and also powerful story I've ever read. Anywhere. Anytime.

You gotta lot of sand, and that story hit hard. Well done.

I also greatly enjoyed the narrative tone of the story.

Some of the most powerful pieces of art are the ones that evoke the strongest emotions. Which emotions aren't important. Only that they are conjured by the images created by the artist.
