I love your attitude about writing, and it’s easy to see you have talent. Good on ya for going the extra miles to the workshops, and just generally wanting to improve.

I want to improve so much, but have no idea where to start. I need improvement on everything !😆

I don't think it matters how much money, how many people notice your work but more importantly that you are expressing yourself honestly in your works.
Whether it is writing, cooking, farting on a couch or saying your own piece.

Ive been through it myself. The most ridiculous thing about it all was that it came from being excluded from normal society for being deaf. Then experiencing an injury due to hiding it in the workplace, then finding myself out of work for half a year, I read into self treatment and accidentally discovering my purpose on a stage, a deaf hypnotist guy that cant see his audience for the lights or even hear them lol...

That sounds like quite the life! And such an interesting profession, because of and despite your personal circumstances. Have you written about that here on the forum before? I would love to read about it!

Welcome to the Shed 😁. I see you have lived an interesting life, and had to persevere at some point to make it where you are today. A hypnotist ! How very interesting... you will have to share more with us on the uniqueness of being deaf, as you hypnotize people.

I dont want to make this thread about me. I can hear but ive got profound deafness, it was my pitfall as a lot of people asked how I can make music whilst being deaf too. (mumps at 6 years old)

I managed to get my shows, my music and my story in the UK media, but it turned nasty with people saying I was pretending to be deaf. You just simply cannot pretend to be deaf with the BBC, they check records etc.

But alas, I ended up in a gutter for it.

But in a few weeks ill have a chance to turn it around and its against a lot of odds because im in a bit of trouble for lashing out in anger at the things people said for being bullied in my youth to keep it short.

But if there is one thing ive learned, its that if you feel an expressive feeling in your gut (soul) for what you do. You just have to do it no matter how many naysayers there are. Its like breathing and I put memories of my childhood onto my stage shows to heal the pain with comedy. Im telling you, be it writer, musician, comedian or whatever... put the pain into self expression in another format and it works. Thats all you need. To show your heart to others and it allows them to shows theirs if that makes sense

Then you enjoy acceptance but even more than that, you get to witness others changing into themselves too! That is what does it for me!

Just wanted to say - I went a bit crazy and ended up reading through quite a few of the posts you have authored. Though, I didn't watch the videos because I'm on a very crappy laptop (I like to call it a 'craptop') and page-loads and buffering are terrible; I get about 2 seconds of video, half a minute of buffering, another 2 seconds, so on and so forth. But! Thank you for sharing so much. And thank you for your inspiring/motivating words earlier.

But in a few weeks ill have a chance to turn it around...

Good morning Shed family.

It's dark, cold and rainy here again today.

I see that I missed out on a busy conversation last night about writing (and people being supportive).
Then I got to the end and had to look up the definition of "raw prawn" which means deception...?
And there has been no writing in here since.

So I'm starting fresh with coffee and donuts, hoping that will lure somebody in out of the bushes.
Hope everyone is having a good day so far.
