I agree. Steal their candy and hide their bodies in deep snow.

But then the snow melts and you have bodies all over the lawn. I can tell you from a "friends" perspective, it's not pretty

You seem to master this, Sir Fin, despite all your troubles you are gentle and understanding. Gentle to me isn't just being "nice" it has a steady firmness to it.
The lyrics were gorgious, something I will take with me. Hugs.

Thank you *hugs*

We all walk with more or less burden. You can have all the luck, all the millions, all the beauty, fortune and the fame, and it is still hard sometimes. My mission here is not to make anyone's burden heavier. Because i know how it feels like to have a constant burden.

I just had a surprise visit from two of the lovely ladies from my Bible study group. They knew I was feeling down...brought me a bouquet of flowers and a jar of homemade jam. (Spell check tried to type "homeless" jam...? It ain't homeless now, darn you Spell check!!)

What a blessing to have friends who care and bring you such thoughtful gifts. They cared about the homeless jam as much as you do now.😉.

Always nice to read your funny, cheery posts. You give out such a down to earth, humourous twist to reality , or fantasy. You really do have a natural comedic style that I enjoy so much, and it helps with my depression.

Hope everyone is having a good day. If not, I will be back later and we can have some pixie drinks together.
Much love, jacy

Hi sweet pea, I invited a pixie for, brought a dessert, but I am sure she has a little drinky wink for later. The pixies and fairies and other magical creatures feel a little left out these days.

Please share some of the jam I love jam on toast with lots of butter. Not that I can chew right now but imaginary toast is fine.

Hugs in bundles.

It's cooled down a lot and the Dutch autumn weather is settling in. Colder nights and days with a fair bit of precipitation. October is sometimes the beginning of wintery days in NL. There's still a few days with temperatures reaching 18-20 C though but they won't last long. I hope all horticulturalists manage to get their tomatoes before it all goes south.

As the theory goes, the Netherlands had a huge ice-shelf on top of it in the last ice-age. When temperatures started to rise the ice-shelf decided to shear off and made 80%-90% of all Dutch land flat and under sea-level. They have become quite skilled at mitigating and protecting against the water problems through the centuries. Windmills were used to make flour as in many other countries but many windmills were used purely to pump excess water out of an area so they could build a dijk (dike) to keep the water out. It really is weird how flat the land is here. No hills, no valleys, no nothing. Until you get near the German border in the east, there the hills and ups and downs start to appear in the landscape again. That's at least 2 or 3 hours drive on the free-way (motorway/snelweg) from where I live. And closer to Belgium too maybe. (South, south west-ish from NL)

What I'm saying the long way is that once the cold settles in, it doesn't like to leave here until May. Autumn is the best though. All the flying parasites die (mosquitoes) until next year. One more month or so until we freeze day and night.

ETA Most people know me as Mat, never Matt.
Not all though, sometimes people give me a nickname all on their own. It must be the hair or something.

Hi shed family!

Here's some music for you.

Anyone else love this song?

Haha, someone said in the comments, "That song makes up for 'do you think I am sexy' "
