Every story has to start somewhere. The important thing is that you've begun. Once you've got your first thousand words or so you'll see how you
can make it better.
I'm of the school of thought that there is no good writing, only good rewriting. I read somewhere that Pappa Hemmingway himself said his words
didn't begin to sing until his 11th rewrite.
When you have as little natural talent as I do, words like that tend to ring a bell
Than again, I'm sure that there are some natural wordsmiths out there that don't need to rewrite, just as there are natural piano players or natural
ball players. I wish I were one of them. Anyway,
Good start. Where are you going to take it from here?
