Just a general thread to see if we have any extreme metal fans here black/death metal etc be good to share what you have been listening to lately and vice versa

Metal is difficult to categorize. If this is what you're talking about then yes, I'm a fan.

Depends on what you consider extreme..

If you are one of those "Im Tr00 Kvlt cause I listen to X band" than nope..that isnt me.
If you like metal it all shapes , sizes and styles then yah..lets chat.
My current Sat playlist has everything from Opeth to Emperor to My Dying Bride to November's Doom to Mournful Congregation to Swallow the Sun and everything in between.

I'm an extreme metal head.

I like metallica, and other stuff.

I also like CoD4.

Septic Flesh - Codex Omega - Best metal album of the year! Listen to it a few times a week!
Behemoth - Waiting for new one
Emperor - Like whole catalog
Immortal - Same as Emperor
Abbath - Love his record.
Death - All albums amazing, Spiritual Healing is my fav and Symbolic is amazing!
Slayer - The usual albums are amazing - Seasons is my fav though.
Morbid Angel - Like all their records except the I one, Covenant is fav.

Found a great Brazilian metal band, obviously being in the UK, I doubt many have heard of them, can't beat power metal:

I listen to death and black metal almost exclusively, and I play guitar in a proggy black metal band. Think, Emperor but less talented.

Enjoy this with your morning coffee

Infected Rains' Lena Scissorhands crew and Phoxjaws' Josh Gallop and company are my faves right now. I also like a dig Coheed and Cambria with a new one too.





I hope this helps someone find a new group or two, I'm into finding out new acts and sounds for metal genre myself too.
