Think it was indeed a bird gliding, just looks super fast down to perspective.

Might be wrong all the same, but i just see birds.

That is simply reflection. Note that it moves as the camera pans.

I'm not sure about that. Look at 13 and 14 seconds. The view slows and stalls straight ahead, and the object skips out of view to the right -- that is moving faster than the pan of the camera.

That said, what I first wondered was ...... what was the photographer filming such that he/she could capture this? Birds? No, it appears that they were doing a pan of the view. I would guess that only later did they look at the video and notice the apparent anomaly. Suspicious, no? ;o)

The 1st object is clearly way off in the distance then gets over the water and darts off in 1 second flat. Again something appears top left, darts off, changes direction instantly and keeps moving in 2 seconds then gone.

The lens flares are on the bottom left of the screen. It's not a lens flare.

Which doors are you speaking about in Arbroath and St Andrews?

Millgate and Coast Arbroath and The Rule in St A's. One night through there I met some friends and went down the back of the castle and were treated to a spectacular light show with orange and green orbs looking like they were gently rolling down a hill before taking off and shooting out or sight, I couldn't say if they were off into space or just out of sight but we were all a little freaked out.

Can't be seagulls, if you'd ever been in Arbroath you'd know seagulls never move in gangs smaller than 30 there....

I'm only down the road relatively speaking, see plenty of solitary gulls dependant on the weather, time of year, never mind a few other factors.

The black thing at the very beginning of the video? It could easily be a bird, and seems very bird like.

The bright white thing as he pans past the Sun (between the "07 and "09 mark)? It looks like a lens reflection caused by the Sun.
