The drug, known as "monkey dust," is sweeping across the northern UK, and is said to make users feel as though they have incredible strength akin to the Hulk, and can make them act dangerously — scaling buildings and jumping from great heights.

A drug called 'monkey dust' which causes people to eat faces and jump from buildings is spreading in the UK — here's what it is

Saw this on Sky news just now so I had a look online to see what it was.

I first thought it was going to be PCP due to the reports of people behaving like they had super strength and felt no pain.

Turns out it is what the US was dealing with under the name "Bath Salts".

I noticed the bath salt stories dried up on ATS so, how did you Americans deal with it? Jus banned the stuff? Or something else?

We sold it at gas stations, weeded those people out real quick.

Bath salts are straight up scary as HELL!!!

*Man comes in ER with his face singed because he has put his face in the oven trying to find the gnome he hears

*It takes 10 grown men and a mattress to bring one man to the ground after he has been medicated because he has such superhuman strength.

*Last week they had one come in he pulled a mounted Sharps Box off of the wall and threw it across the room like it was nothing

These are true stories. I'm sorry you have to take my word for it. You cannot list the stories with examples it is against the law. But I promise you it's here and it's worse than you ever thought it was.

O M G..... I haven't had monkey bread in years, damn you for making me remember that sad fact.

And I don't even particularly care for sweets.

We had a lot of people here who seemed to be frozen like statues a year or so ago. Like they had frozen solid in an arctic gale. Totally bizarre when you drove past a user. This sounds like something else though on the other end of the scale. It might even be scare tactics by TPTB in warnings about leaping off buildings.................... Like didn't they say the same in the 60's about '___'? Ok mods I'll edit it to pieces of paper if the word's too much for this forum.

Somehow i imagine we criminalize the use of the wrong type of substances at the expense of these synthetic drugs being invented and/or produced.

Just look at the problems associated with Spice for a comparison, and now Bath Salts???
the mind boggles really.

Where can I buy this? Asking for a friend.

It's not a good high, plain and simple. In the US we have a lot available, so doing something like bath salts is usually avoidable for fiends. All I see is opiate addicts here in Philly.

We waited until the news cycle rolled over. Always keep in mind that if the media or government is freaking out over some new drug scare or fad the kids are doing, it is almost guaranteed the scare is being blown out of proportion.

Why do people do the extreme stuff??

Not to promote anything, but, there are much more "no face eating" ways to have a good chill time.

I don't get it.

Tell your friend to pair it with a good meal.

I suggest a nice vintage Chilean Carménère and filet of homeless man's face tar tar.

Sounds like a typical Chatham night out.

Though a party is not a party until at least 2 people have been stabbed and a bricks been thrown at someone's head

I have to agree. If you willingly take something like this, your brains are already mush.
