My belly button has changed.
It's different than what I remember it used to be like.
It seems deeper now and I can get more of my finger in there...

I bet you can't find a commercial with the phrase we remember.

How's that for an absolute?

You know folks..

I'm going to keep posting MEs that affect me..

It's what this forum is for - and I've been clear about wanting to talk to / inform other Effected people.

I don't care about stars, and I don't care if you don't like it.

There's simply no reason for you to act so "upset" about posts in a forum designed exactly for these posts.

Ive always found it interesting because you get to see what others actually remember. Who would have thought we would be discussing chester cheetah. All i remember is je always said dangerously cheesy

It's not about being upset - it's about evidence and logic.

Your argument is, there is *some* unseen force or activity that is causing past events to change such that some people remember them differently.

Now, you have NO EXPLANATION as to why this is happening, you simply claim it is fact and that many people are affected by it.

*I* claim, there IS an explanation for it, which I have post many, many times. The simple fact that 99% of the MEs you list are all pop culture references and are happening much more frequently, does support my claim that it's NOT a mystical, magical, timeshift or whatever nonsense, but instead, is due to:

1. Faulty human memory
2. People easily influenced by others
3. Proliferation of social media and other means of easily distributing information

For example, noted in this study here:

In a study on false memories, Dr Kimberley Wade in the Department of Psychology demonstrates that if we are told about a completely fictitious event from our lives, and repeatedly imagine that event occurring, almost half of us would accept that it did.

Of course you can post about what you think is ME. Sure, tell be about it. But don't claim it is "fact". It isn't. You refuse to accept the more logical and probably explanation and instead opt for something more esoteric - which would be fine is you actually had evidence to back up you claim.

Pearj teased me with promise of a Ministry ME thread for months.

That's a lie.

I told you I wouldn't be making a Ministry thread the same day I mentioned it, because you sound like a troll.

In fact, I've told you twice - and it's all right there in our posting history.

Turns out, I wasn't wrong.

Who's not talking in peace? I certainly entertained no animosity. I only question your propositions.

Ok, forget evidence - but do you even have a theory as to what is causing this "ME" you are experiencing? Any idea at all?

I mean, what good is it to keep point out X is wrong and Y is wrong, over and over is there's no attempt to fix it? Or even understand it?

Or is this forum only for observations..? And not actions?

The problem here is your definition of disruption.

You routinely ignore anyone who challenges your opinion by claiming they are bullies.
You don't put out your ideas to be challenged.

I really don't understand it, you spend so much time with these ME's yet have no want to actually investigate the cause. Personally I believe you do have an explanation but you are afraid to put it out there.

I have a feeling the PearlJ from my reality would be very disappointed with how you approach the subject.

The problem is Pearj WANTS everything to be an ME.

It's clearly an unhealthy obsession.

I think it's a refreshing thread, imho.

We're always being told elsewhere on site to "be the change you want to see on ATS" whenever anyone complains about the overreach of political threads, to make our own thread about topics we would like to discuss.

The problem is the MudPit mentality bleeds over into anything, especially lighthearted "conspiracy" threads.

I say don't click on ME threads if you think it's hogwash.

Let others have their fun.

Personally I LIKE the change of pace.

It's not easy being cheesy.

I think there's only a few of us left on ATS that feel like that, and we're dwindling.

The "Mud Pit" IS ATS - "Skunk Works" is the old ATS.

The nature of this site took a permanent turn for the worse (I don't think you can go back) - it was decent, now it's vile - and I'm fine with letting that die.

ATS will change when there's no one left to argue with - far too late to make a difference after we've all moved on.

Since PearlJ isn't willing to discuss ME's I guess I'm gonna have to be the one to address these points.

1. Faulty is a bad word. As I've said countless times... Trivial side effect of our great memories.
It may sound like semantics but "faulty" doesn't explain why so many remember the same things.

2. Influence from others doesn't cut it either.
I hadn't heard about Berenstain's for decades prior to ME's being popularised so influence doesn't work there.
I have never heard of the JFK car having 2 rows of seats (because there wasn't), it was purely my own thinking.

3. This doesn't fit either.
The increase in communication helps to show that so many people think the same thing but I don't see how it could cause the wrong memory in the first place. It helps expose the phenomena but does nothing to explain it.

Magic makes no sense as any proof for the Mandela Effect will paradoxically instantly dismiss it (Probably the reason why people are cautious in giving explanations).

Faulty Memory makes no sense as it doesn't fit with the evidence we can see.
And worse yet it empowers the people claiming vague magic.

ME's can be explained with a simple phrase "We remember what is easier to remember".

Pearlj --

You haven't really given a reason that proves that the line in the commercial was ever "it ain't" rather than "it's not".

I mean sure -- many people might think it's "ain't", but that doesn't mean it ever was. The fact that Chester Cheetah says it in with a "hip cool" voice might lead some people to think he'd also use hip cool urban slang and would say "ain't" -- and thus they might misremember it as such.

Plus there's the family Guy send-up of that line in which "ain't" was used, so the "ain't" version does exist in pop culture, giving people even more of a reason to misremember it that way.

I am old and in my lifetime and everyone I know we had never heard of this apparently common product for sell everywhere.
"666 Cold and Flu Remedies
I’m not sure about this Mandela or Quantum effect. I have never heard of 666 cold medicines, salves, or remedies before. Have you? You can apparently buy it at Walmart, CVS, Walgreen’s, and most supermarkets. It is also available online via Amazon. Anyways here’s a stunning (to me at least) video to prove it."

There are plenty of brand names out there that I've never heard of, especially some of those specialty items found in the health section of Walmart, Amazon, or wherever. However, I never heard of them simply because I never looked for them, not because of ME alternate realities or timelines.

Here are a few:

Father John's

Homeolab

Maty's

Neuroscience

Quantum

Sambucol

Navitas

Hylands

Youtheory
