Trump legal team set to reply to Mueller request for interview

President Donald Trump's legal team plans to respond to special counsel Robert Mueller's request for a potential interview with the president in the coming days. The response could happen as soon as Tuesday or Wednesday, sources with direct knowledge told ABC News.

Giuliani spoke to reporters after an event last Thursday, saying his team was in the process of responding to Mueller's request.

"They took about 10 days and yesterday we got a letter back for them. Now we're in the process of responding to their proposal," Giuliani said Aug. 2.

I just saw a report saying it is believed that they will submit their reply today.

What does this crew think that reply will be?

And what will the subsequent actions by Muellers team be if they decline?
Mueller wants to talk about obstruction.

Obstruction is basically a “gimme”..


Plus trump just publicly admitted that the meeting with Russian agents WAS for stolen dirt on his political opponent..

So right there is a reason to want to obstruct justice to protect his son.. if nothing else because Jr. lies under oath about the meeting.

Trump should welcome the opportunity to meet with Mueller. He has nothing to hide!!

If they prosecute him it would be the first president to face prosecution.. something atleast with previous presidents they have never liked doing..

Trump was just a run of the mill American citizen when he did it.

So not charging trump would inherently set the precedent that it is legal to do so..

Why would elected officials be above the law?

I'm all for punishing him if we find proof of illegality, but lets make everyone follow those laws too.

We did get caught spying on allies citizens and government officials years back, if you don't think we used some of that information to sway elections, you're kidding yourself.

Don Jr. released the entire e-mail chain a long time ago, so all of this was out in the open. Or did your forget that part?
And where was it said the dirt was "stolen"? Remember, so far, all parties involved say there was no "there" there. No dirt, so how could an empty box be filled with stolen anything?
