You seem to have some contradictions in your response.

For one no one could go through what Jesus went through and not be in some state of altered being.

Also if john could see the flaming eyes then it seems as though the one with the flaming eyes would be exhibiting much focus.

Contradictions between the two Johns.

Sure. There are lots of drugs to use as pain killer and be in some state of altered being. But do you honestly believe the Romans would allow you to cheat the angry crowd by feigning tormention?

Jesus already dead before the Romans break his legs.

I have seen a lot of ugly species with "eyes like blazing fire" in my crazy teenage lucid dreams. Unlike John, I don't associate them with Jesus or God. Have you ever experience lucid dreams? This is just a very simple method to be in altered state.
Make sure you stay awake to know the differences

I don't believe you are using any of those terms correctly.
And please provide references to support the idea that Jesus went into deep states of meditation?
Prayer is meditation. We do not need any verses backing up the claim that Jesus prayed or meditated.
If we can not find that common ground then we got some serious issues.

Prayer, as defined by Abrahamic faiths, is communication with God. Prayer, definition and meaning - Collins English Dictionary
Meditation, as the Abrahamic faiths define the word, is deep contemplation of the meaning of scripture.
So, where it says that Jesus prayed, it isn't saying that he meditated (in the Eastern mystic and modern sense of the word). Jesus would absolutely not have repeated a mantra, become unthinking and enter into an altered state of consciousness.
Your premise would be culturally inappropriate for the time when Jesus was incarnate as it is to equate Jesus with entrenched secret manipulation of American politics.

He literally spoke of things others could not see, cast out demons and healed peeps. That takes something well beyond the normal consciousness.

No it would not be.
Jesus was in the deepest state of all.
You are spinning on this one.
You are just being contrary if you do not admit that to to such as he done he would have to be in an altered state of
consciousness. He literally spoke of things others could not see, cast out demons and healed peeps. That takes something well beyond the normal consciousness.

so much contrarianism
yes those are examples of an altered state as compared to the majority of us
weather full of drugs, shat or God they are examples of abnormal behavior and all lacking in comparison to Jesus.

I'm sure, Jesus would not teach things beyond our comprehension

John 18:20-21
“I have spoken openly to the world,” Jesus answered. “I always taught in the synagogues and at the temple, where all the Jews come together. I said nothing in secret. Why are you asking Me? Ask those who heard My message. Surely they know what I said.”

nice try but he did not mean secret as in hard to understand but secret as in alone or only to a few. this has no bearing on understanding but on who hears.

What are you talking about? He said, he has spoken openly to the world. What part of the world you claim to be alone or only to a few?

yes openly to the world...He did not say the world would understand
Hence the bible is the most common book on earth yet God and Heaven remain a Mystery to most.
