You seem to have some contradictions in your response.

Contradictions between the two Johns.

For one no one could go through what Jesus went through and not be in some state of altered being.

Sure. There are lots of drugs to use as pain killer and be in some state of altered being. But do you honestly believe the Romans would allow you to cheat the angry crowd by feigning tormention?

One would pass out or die long before the chosen time.

Jesus already dead before the Romans break his legs.

Also if john could see the flaming eyes then it seems as though the one with the flaming eyes would be exhibiting much focus.

I have seen a lot of ugly species with "eyes like blazing fire" in my crazy teenage lucid dreams. Unlike John, I don't associate them with Jesus or God. Have you ever experience lucid dreams? This is just a very simple method to be in altered state.

Lol

Nice msm break down

people do this when they fail to grasp the meaning of the whole.

as far as jesus taking something to help with the pain you must remember that he knew what would happen to him before those who done the dirt knew they were following the plan. Also we see in scripture that some peeps used some substance on him with a sponge. Also look at what he asked to be buried with. The guy was seriously into herbs and such and he even came back in some form after they had their way with him.

i live in a constant state of lucidity.i suppose you have missed my post here.

Welcome to the world of non reality.

Jesus's world however, is real enough for his followers to die Martyrdom, including his ex enemy, Paul.

Make sure you stay awake to know the differences, tho.

I don't believe you are using any of those terms correctly.

And please provide references to support the idea that Jesus went into deep states of meditation?

Prayer is meditation. We do not need any verses backing up the claim that Jesus prayed or meditated.
If we can not find that common ground then we got some serious issues.

zeit·geist
ˈtsītˌɡīst,ˈzītˌɡīst/Submit
noun
the defining spirit or mood of a particular period of history as shown by the ideas and beliefs of the time.

now you are correct in saying deep state was not used in the sense of the current accepted definition.

deep state
noun
noun: deep state; plural noun: deep states
a body of people, typically influential members of government agencies or the military, believed to be involved in the secret manipulation or control of government policy.

deep
3 a : difficult to penetrate or comprehend

state
1 a : mode or condition of being a state of readiness
b (1) : condition of mind or temperament in a highly nervous state (2) : a condition of abnormal tension or excitement

you have to use the term deep state in the original meaning to understand

Prayer, as defined by Abrahamic faiths, is communication with God. Prayer, definition and meaning - Collins English Dictionary

Meditation, as the Abrahamic faiths define the word, is deep contemplation of the meaning of scripture.

So, where it says that Jesus prayed, it isn't saying that he meditated (in the Eastern mystic and modern sense of the word). Jesus would absolutely not have repeated a mantra, become unthinking and enter into an altered state of consciousness.

Your premise would be culturally inappropriate for the time when Jesus was incarnate as it is to equate Jesus with entrenched secret manipulation of American politics.

No it would not be.
Jesus was in the deepest state of all.
You are spinning on this one.
You are just being contrary if you do not admit that to to such as he done he would have to be in an altered state of
consciousness. He literally spoke of things others could not see, cast out demons and healed peeps. That takes something well beyond the normal consciousness.

You don't need an altered state of consciousness to do those things because, in reality, God does them. We are just the agent through which the Holy Spirit works.

Those examples are taken from TV shows, and those guys are actors acting on scripted event. This is what your OP implying about Jesus. An abnormal actor on reality TV show, and very promises and salvation are based on hallucination.

I'm sure there are more ways than Buddha's meditations. But do you really need to be in altered state?

Do you consider modern day walking dead or ressurection abnormal?

Then watch this. The people in the video seem to be conscious enough to know what they are dealing with.

Trust me. The video is quite "normal". In some corner of the world, there are supernatural things observed by many fully concious witnesses. But all this things are nothing compare to what you experience in altered state. You could become insane if your mind is not strong enough, or you could die of heart attack if you are not able to cope with the shock.

I'm sure, Jesus would not teach things beyond our comprehension, tho. Lol.

May our father in heaven bless you.

That is entirely incorrect.

I suppose you have never heard of the mysteries of God?

Ever heard of Jesus saying that many will be deceived in the last days. If we could all understand his teachings then Satan would not stand a chance.

John 18:20-21
“I have spoken openly to the world,” Jesus answered. “I always taught in the synagogues and at the temple, where all the Jews come together. I said nothing in secret. Why are you asking Me? Ask those who heard My message. Surely they know what I said.”

nice try but he did not mean secret as in hard to understand but secret as in alone or only to a few. this has no bearing on understanding but on who hears.

you are peristant

What are you talking about? He said, he has spoken openly to the world. What part of the world you claim to be alone or only to a few?

yes openly to the world...He did not say the world would understand

Hence the bible is the most common book on earth yet God and Heaven remain a Mystery to most.

If most don't understand when Jesus said, "I said nothing in secret", then it is not Jesus' fault.

Roman 1:20
For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

Ephesians 1:9
He made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure that He planned in Him

Ephesians 3:5
Which was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed to His holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit;

The Parable of the Sower
Matthew 13:13-15
13 This is why I speak to them in parables:

“Though seeing, they do not see;
though hearing, they do not hear or understand.
14 In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah:

“‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding;
you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.
15 For this people’s heart has become calloused;
they hardly hear with their ears,
and they have closed their eyes.
Otherwise they might see with their eyes,
hear with their ears,
understand with their hearts
and turn, and I would heal them.’

How can you claim you to love something you can't understand?

Will you excuse your god by saying you don't understand the mystery He had already reveal?

Stop making lame excuse with mysteries.
