Adam Schiff is letting you down easy on the false Trump-Russia collusion narrative

So this weekend, Adam Schiff made a rather telling statement regarding potential evidence of Trump or the Trump campaign colluding with the Russians. All this time, Schiff has insisted there is evidence of collusion, and when pressed to back that statement up, he usually retreats to claiming he can't say because it's either classified or it would be improper to reveal because the investigation is ongoing.

There's a shift in Schiff's narrative now though. Sunday, Schiff said the supposed evidence is pretty much already out there:

Rep. Adam Schiff of California, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, said Sunday there is "plenty of evidence of collusion or conspiracy in plain sight" regarding the Trump campaign and Russia.

Now that doesn't totally translate to that, but he further said this:

Schiff said the congressional investigations into Russian meddling in the 2016 election "revealed evidence that goes to the issue of conspiracy and collusion, a lot of which is now public," but did not elaborate.

A lot of which is now public, not all, but he can't say it's all public because then that would stop the rampant speculation leading up to the midterms. Of course he can't say that. This is still a big departure from his past insinuations that they had some hard evidence that they can't reveal yet. Note he didn't add "but there's more that's not out there yet" or anything like that.

He sums up the situation in the second part of the first quote that I shifted down here since it's a good summation:

But he admitted that doesn't mean "there's proof beyond a reasonable doubt of a criminal conspiracy," saying it would be up to special counsel Robert Mueller to potentially make that case.

For those of you hoping Schiff or Mueller has some smoking gun up their sleeve, this is Schiff telegraphing to you that they don't have one, in my opinion. He's basically saying that Mueller is going to have to work with what's public because that's all they really have. Translation: they have nothing.

Furthermore I still stand by my assessment that if they had hard evidence that Trump was involved with Putin to the degree that it would be treasonous, they wouldn't be dragging their feet like they have been. They wouldn't be worried about tacking on additional charges like obstruction or looking at financial crimes. They could do all that later. If there was evidence Trump was a traitor or beholden to Putin, they would present that to Congress ASAP so they could impeach him and remove him from office before he does anymore damage to the country. Obviously they don't have evidence of such, or they'd have taken action already. You can go after him for other crimes once he's out of office, doing it all now would put the country at further risk, IF they had evidence he was compromised or in league with Putin.

Anyway, get ready for the letdown when Mueller finishes up.

There are going to be some very, very disappointed people, my friend. Considering all the broken hearts, dashed spirits, wailing, and gnashing of teeth when Hillary lost and dropped all her candy in the toilet, making them all look like idiots and act like 4 year olds, I just don't know how they are going to bear it.

Well, suffice it to say that I'm really, REALLY going to enjoy this.

I'm curious to see how many of them have the strength of character to apologize, or even (GASP) admit they were wrong.

Frankly, considering the way they've behaved for the last year, I'm not expecting much.

If you think Schiff is backtracking, wait till they get a load of what WE brung 'em.

Yes, but considering who said it, It's not really surprising, is it?

Well, he's right that the evidence of the conspiracy is already out there in the sense that this whole thing is a conspiracy to cover for the conspiracy uncovered in the DNC leaks.

Why so many people seem to enjoy being led around by the nose is the real mystery to me here.

It's easy for anyone, with an iq over 45, to see that tRumps reign as supreme dumb ass is coming to an end.

Yeah, there’s plenty of evidence in the public already, Trump just admitted to it Sunday. Now the degree of collusion at the moment via Trump, just one meeting and nothing more. It’s always it’s never happened, then when evidence surfaces, to well yeah but only mininial events that amounted to nothing.

Now, why are Dem’s so quiet? Well, some are already writing and trying to gain supppet for impeachment but we don’t hear much about that. So why aren’t they making noise and pushing their agenda?

Muellers investigation. That and Democrats are a minority and all their agenda will be voted down via the GOP.
