Unfortunately, my Japanese is terrible and hasn't been used in 25 years, so I cannot go into a lot of detail as to what they are talking about. At
the 8 minute mark, it's pretty apparent they are working on a railgun. Given the US has been dumping a fair amount of money on the technology and
the Chinese are doing so as well, it would seem we are not alone. However, as should be seen, the railgun being developed is far, far less ambitious.
It's a tech demonstrator, rather than a weapon and an early tech demo at that.
It *IS* of interest also because it is a reminder that the world isn't sleeping while the US and China are developing tech. After all, the Brit and
FrancoGerman 6th gen fighter projects have been launched.
Do we have a Japanese speaker on the board who could run through and point out what each tech is?
