Sub Richard B Russell.
Pilot Richard Beebo Russell
What kinda name is beebo?
That sub was an attack sub. The only missiles it carried were SUBROC anti-sub missiles.
It went to scrap in October 2001.
Hmmmmm...might be worth looking up salvage titles...

Aircraft at the end of their lives are decommissioned to the Bone Yard, DMAF. Some get pulled out to a new life at Evergreen Field, north of Tucson. They get new numbers, colors, and owners. Why would ships be any different.?
