Does all the crime in Trump's circle prove that capitalism doesn't work?

I have been thinking about this for a while. The fact that an extremely high percentage of people involved with Trump personally or in his campaign or administration are criminals or very ethically challenged could just be representative of the modern Republican movement and the far right, but I think there's more to it than that. I think that all these insider, big-business capitalists have no faith in their own system, which is why they are so compelled to financial issues and crimes. If you have millions of dollars, like many of these people do, but you feel compelled to do immoral or criminal things to get more money, like serve as an unregistered foreign agent for a corrupt and immoral country like Russia, how can you say that these people believe or prove that capitalism is good?

IF some of the most privileged in our society can't seem to afford to live honestly, what chance to the rest of us have?

Just a question. Do you think all communist leaders and their ilk were honest and never did anything to further their personal advantages? Oh ahahaha.
Nothing to do with capitalism, it's human greed and you get it everywhere where people can get free money or power and nobody there to stop it.

I agree.

No matter what sort of economic system a nation decides to implement, whether it be capitalism or communism, there is always a threat to the integrity of that system from the natural tendencies of the human being.

The systems themselves are not necessarily the problem. It's the people within the system that are the problem.

So you are saying that capitalism is no better than any other system? Thank you for finally being honest.

Then wouldn’t the best system be the one with less laws and less governement?

Cannot be a criminal unless the state says you are

And just how honest is using the state to vote yourself a bunch of free snip?

OP, did you type that with a straight face?

Be real, no matter what goverment, it is corrupt. At least here with capitalism, i have a chance to get ahead.

Capitalism gives people freedom and upwards mobility. Socialism and communism offer the opposite.

There is no way to better one’s self in a communist/socialist society except for crime.

Of course it's not.

As any system is only as good as the people that run it.

Considering the current system is a blend of capitalism and socialism that doesn't make sense . Don't mistake greed as well as the capacity of psychopaths to strive for power.

Or does prove that its basic human nature to take advantage of situations that benefit, thus proving limiting the power of entities is the only semi sustainable way. Which of course discredits those with the notion that socialism or communism could work.

Capitalism is the greatest system ever devised. The people have the power instead of the state unlike socialism, communism, fascism...etc

What power exactly?

What if you try to encounter the government, like with taxes, tickets, unruly behaviour - you know, all those things the government/state will counter your moves strictly and without remorse?

So, what power do "the people" really have?

The people only have power in a system that recognizes the voice of the individual and grants them the right to speak freely about it.

Capitalism does not do that, as it is only an economic theory/system, not a governmental system that grants rights.

Really?.. If had amassed a fortune in the billions and built many large organisations that employ thousands of people.. I'd have rock solid faith in the system

Crime in political organisations is not a republican thing, its a human thing.

The difference with this trump administration - is that they are not involved in the same crime the political opposition are involved in.

The political opposition are involved much deeper and more treasonous than this current trump administration... and both parties know it.. thats why trump and his administration are a threat!

The Trump admin is a threat because they are treasonous, but just not as treasonous as others?

Try thinking about it from different angles and perspectives, instead of only through the lens that the right and Trump are bad, wrong and/or evil.
You might surprise yourself.

Generalisations do everyone a disservice. Who’s been convinced?

The midterms are coming let the people decide.
