A lot of people think it is.

Before you attack my character for finding humor in michelle wolf please remember that I have not attacked you for your lack of a funny bone.

Okay... but let's not pretend like this is the only insanity permeating our sick world. How can I kill thee? Let me count the ways: abortion, capital punishment, euthanasia, failure to "comply," war, lack of medical care...

Death is a business and business is good.

But I do believe she made this statement around the retirement announcement of Justice Kennedy from the Supreme court, a strong defender of abortion rights.

Sure. That's not odd in any way. The Daily Show's type of humor centers around current events, political and otherwise.

At first I thought it was a parody, but turns out it's her true views about abortion and the way it should be treated.

If that is true, that is her opinion and she is welcome to it.

Something I think we are missing here is the aspect of personal freedom.

People have the freedom to choose to do with their bodies as they see fit. They also have the right to express themselves as they see fit.

Sure, we can disagree with them, but we should all be able to agree that their right to do so is very important and it really serves no purpose to get outraged over something like this.

The biggest mystery to me is how so many women can't manage to understand the wonders of birth control and how many men are dumb enough to not protect themselves from the consequences.

Question: Did you write an outraged post about Jim Jefferies' Netflix show "This is me now" and how he glamorize rape or his extreme misogynist outlooks?
Not?
Why not?
Because you know it's social commentary with the use of humor and/or satire?

Ah. I see.

For the record, I don't like Michelle Wolf. Her voice hits the wrong nerve and she's not exactly funny in my books. Still, some people think she is. Shrug. No topic is taboo in comedy. It hasn't been since George Carlin took the stage.
Except maybe jokes about Muhammad. Apparently he's not funny.

Oh, and you might want to lock Wolf up for treason seeing how she pledged allegiance to whoever takes over the U.S. first, just the other day.

For the record, I don't have problem with people saying whatever the hell they want. I'm allin for freedom of choice and speech.

The issue here is that she is just 'trying' to be funny instead of actually really being, and that her real intent seems to be promoting whatever wicked ideas she and her promoters have.

This post made me laugh but if there is real hate in you when you call them that then it wont be comedy.

It is hard to tell sometimes when a comedian is just being funny or when they have an axe to grind.

Yea she took it too far and lost the humor. However, I think abortion is a good thing. I've seen WAY too many young mothers have kids too early. They often have no finances, no time, and no partner to help take care of the kid(s).

I've seen many who just dump their kids on the people around them because they still want to party. (Because they're young).

Abortion prevents all that, and lets someone wait until they can have a baby when they are truely ready.

After this below video nothing from Netflix will ever surprise me:

It's not a left vs right thing for me, but I can see the sickening bs that they're peddling.

Like when you buy a house and default on a loan.

Stuck with the bill by no fault of your own am I right?

If a guy chooses to make a baby and then doesn't want to take care of it it shouldn't be a big deal to give all the responsibility over to the mother.

The guy shouldn't have to pay for a life that he created.

Please remind me, is taking responsibility for your actions part of being a man or not?

Logic doesn't work with pro-life people. It's all emotions from them.

No.

Like trying to have it both ways.

Men don't get a say until it comes to money then it's Birth control, and childsupport.

Well, it's sure booming.

I wouldn't call it "good." Just can't bring myself to do that.

How do you feel about george carlin?

Or bill hicks

or richard pryor

or dave chappelle

or danial tosh

or bill burr

I could go on. My point is if you can't laugh and dark humor you really are missing out on some very talented and funny comedians.

I will assume you don't like any of this kind of humor and ask you who your favorite stand up comedian is?

Yup 'My Sex Junk' from Rachel Bloom was a hard one to take too. I remember when I saw it the first time and heard the lyrics I couldn't believe it.

The first version of this video that was put by Netflix (from Bill Nye's show) had so many dislikes they decided to take it off.

It's not about the comedian. It's about the message she promotes. Why should I care about Michelle Wolf, or why would I have to watch her shows weekly to make a statement about it?

You can never truly understand her or know what her true message is without watching her show and reading about her.

Suggestive programming is a real thing.

Except when the russians do it. right?

Business or not, it won't stop me to point out that it is immoral to promote abortion as a choice without heavy consequences.

I am on the side of business rights. Less government meddling in private business the better. I would never call for my government to bring heavy consequences on netflix. And as far as the american people go we can choose not to watch.

And you/we will never understand the real point until you stop looking for messages to become outraged about.

The point is to laugh. Perhaps at someone else. Perhaps at a topic that is hot in the current issues. Perhaps the point is to laugh at yourself.

People seem to forget to laugh.

What's the problem with Sex Junk? I can see why some people are offended by abortion, but that song seems totally harmless. Dumb, but not offensive.

I already stated above I do appreciate dark humor.
I have no problem with it since I'm the kind of person that fight for truth and that think that nothing should be taboo to speak about. We do not gain anything by acting like some things do not exist, when in fact they do. There are so many things our society is still not comfortable with talking, or to even think about, so yeah I believe dark comedians are welcome and needed.

BUT NOW, this Michelle Wolf and her 'A salute to abortion' is everything but comedy. She is a shame to real woman out there who truly had to go through the disturbing experience that abortion is. She clearly has no idea what she is talking about going with "Woman should be proud of abortion" claims.

Again, I don't have a problem with the jokes she made, I only have one with the reason I think she is doing it.

You say it's not comedy. many other people say it is.

How would you know what real women think about michelle?

Have women that have had an abortion talked to you personally about not liking what wolf had to say? Or are you just quoting some article you read?

She clearly has no idea what she is talking about going with "Woman should be proud of abortion" claims.

You have vast knowledge in what women are going through when they choose to have an abortion?

You are proving that this is not true with this thread.

nothing should be taboo to speak about.

Except abortion or whatever else offends you personally I bet.
