So many bands who do cover versions, just do an almost exact copy. My thoughts are, if you are going to do a cover, then please, put your own stamp
on it......(I think i've embedded the youtube videos correctly, if not a quick youtube search will bring results)
These are my top three. All great bands in their own right, if you haven't heard/listened to them, go and seek. You won't be disappointed.
1. 1966 ... Question Mark & The Mysterians - 96 Tears
I do like the purity of some bluegrass music.
Some styles literally grate on my nerves. I think it's a nasal singing style.
Others are just amazing. The second version is one of my favorites.
