Just got back from the dive backstreet pub which sells everything for £2.50, I had gammon (real, not reformed) fried egg, peas and chips/fries for £2.50, even left some chips because there were so many. I'm never cooking again at those prices lol
Had a pint of local ale as well, again, £2.50

lol unlike my $60 dinner a few weeks ago lmfao

but seriously how come it can be at that price, what's the trick

@BoneSay & TNmockingbird, haha you pair of nuts!!! You know I don't like crawly creepy bitey things!!
I'm also scared of bears as TN knows, no chance I'd live in bear or creepy crawly land, maybe visit, but with a local who owns a gun lol

@oldcarpy, I'm not being funny but...haha!

But.... crawly, and creepy....and stingy and stuff! How can't you love them all? Silently crawling under your clothes, reaching to your head and your eyes while you sleep, waiting until you feel them crawling around and then going all crazy on your hand while you try to throw them away! Awwwwwwwww

Lovely things from hell indeed 😂😨

Oh and i can see that yes some guys from Rage against the machine are also part of Audioslave, so cool

I will have to listen to them a bit more, i just wasn't very interested before but i think i missed a few things on that group until now

I was reading about all of this and i found this

"In the wake of the September 11 attacks, the controversial 2001 Clear Channel memorandum contained a long list of what the memo termed "lyrically questionable" songs for the radio, uniquely listing all of Rage Against the Machine's songs"

🤔🤮🤨

I'm wondering, how come. Doesn't that just prove them right all along lmao, seriously

The guy who owns the place has another expensive pub which basically means it subsidises the cheap pub.
I'm gonna eat there every day now lol £2.50 for a full meal not worth the effort cooking at home!
😆
EDIT
...and you can keep your creepy crawly beasties haha!

Hey, it's human pride, I don't want anyone thinking I'm a twit when I am not, accidents happen in life, drinking or not drinking, it's about respect.

It's a cultural difference, being able to call someone a twat is a sign of being relaxed with them...it is a form of respect which maybe only Brits and Aussies understand.

Most folk I know would think you were uptight and overly sensitive, you would be the person nobody wanted to talk to at a party for fear of offending you.

I don't know about all cultures, by back home and in Mexico, if everyone is gathering and having fun and they call themselves names and such and no one addresses you in the same way, it mostly means you are not part of the group, no one likes you as much to feel friendly enough with you

I know here in Mexico everyone calls it the same as in the UK, and yes if i were to be separated from the group when they are teasing and would never be called names like that it would feel terrible, i would know i'm not part of anything

I don't know about other places but it feels weird, even my mom used to call me names when i was the "evil giant monster" lmfao, she hates me but not in that terrible way lol, it can be understood by context, i have friends who i call names and they have names for me too and they identify which ones make me feel dumb or angry and they tease with them, i know why and is not real hate is just pretend and fooling around

Yes, it does get annoying when it's every other word - kind of debases the point of swearing. I get annoyed when people say "you know" all the time. And when people say "to be honest with you" what? Like, that is unusual for you? Etc.

"Bo bo" - tha's a new one on me. Does it have a meaning?

I always assumed the meaning to be a nicer version of 'silly' 'stupid', but I never asked because I don't want to know. lol

When someone starts off a sentence with 'to be honest with you', I think that it could possibly be the opposite.

bo bo is kind of a spanish word and yes it means "silly"

There are variations, like "bobada" which means "a silly thing" or when they say "don't go doing silly things" it would be like "no vayas haciendo cosas bobas"

"Bo bo" for men, "bo ba" for women mostly but it can apply equally in any case i think

It's a playful think as far as i know, i've been called that when i fool around like one time i pretended to be sick and pass out and a guy got close to check if i was really out while on class and i yelled at him very loud when he got very close to my face and he almost had a seizure lmfao!

He said exactly that "you had to go all boba" or "tenias que salir con tu bobada" LMFAO!

So yes, silly is the right word, mostly

Nice one, I learned something new

'A' is feminine for most Spanish words isn't it, I call my ex wife amiga and she calls me her amigo, terms which indicate she is more than just a friend, even though they mean friend. She's my only 'amiga' being the mother of my child.

EDIT
I'm going to watch our son play rugby with her later, some people think we are 'together' but we've been split for 18 years lol

That must be nice, i think some stuff can't be hidden away, eyes don't lie and people must notice it all for sure

in my old home even last names are like that

i know you have a last name and it's same for boys and girls, back home it is not

Boys have the name, girls have it with the 'a' at the end

My brother Sokolov, me Sokolova lol

But yes the same concept more or less applies in spanish, amigo and amiga, novio and novia (boyfriend and girlfriend) chico and chica ( boy and girl) and so on

It would have been our 23rd wedding anniversary today, we hooked up for some food and drinks to celebrate...we always do because if we had never have got married we would never have had our son. It is still a day of celebration for both of us.

...I know, it's strange in my world with ex's and stuff lol
