He has been made guilty of speech and thought crimes, and we should defend anyone who falls victim to the thought police. Unless Gunn has committed the acts he has joked about, he is not the evil one.
We dont agree much, but we agree on this point for sure.
The man , disgusting as his comments may be, has comitted no crime.
At what point do we put an end to court held by public opinion?
Are we to abandon our constitution and right to due process?
The speech that needs to be protected is the speech we despise.
No one should be immune to the CONSEQUENCES of what they say, but this case isnt that, this case was TARGETTED, BEGINNING, because he said things about Trump that people didnt like. So they went after him.
Despite the fact that NOTHING of the sort has happened of the like 5yrs on now, nor has he committed any crimes.

That's pretty rough stuff. They allow that kind of discourse on Twitter? Shouldn't Twitter be blamed too?

Oh and let me guess you only wanna believe in the constitution when it pertains to your 1st amendment but not your 2nd? Look if I'm wrong about that then I am truly sorry and I retract. But if I'm not wrong... maybe you should look at your true self in a mirror

Your right, committing a crime has nothing to do with this vile stuff.
Disney has every right to fire him, having nothing to do with any criminal acts.
Of course, they didn’t have to fire him... but Disney, and their child audience, it’s a no-brainer.

There has been absolutely NO support of the behavior actually.
Please feel free to post ANYONE who supported the diatribe.

I’ve never tweeted in my life, and I think I’ll continue staying out of twitter.
I joined to yell at Glenn Greenwald over some political issue, and haven’t yet got to it.

The same company who has repeatedly put penises in their animated films? I find the moral soap box a bit disgusting.
Especially since this film maker has done absolutely nothing in any of his films to betray their "message"
Your supporting him by saying he shouldn't be fired...?
Sure your not giving him money or anything but you think it's okay..
hahaha I'm srry but this now makes me think of Grab.H.B.T.P. which trump said in an interview and I'll be honest I dont support that 1 bit but I dont think he should be fired god I'm terrible.
idk maybe because he didnt say grab her (her being a child) is why it doesnt upset me as much.
. hurting little kids is just not okay in my book and again it stems from being in those shoes it effing sucks having to think about that day in and out.

They have a youthful audience tradition, its no way in hell they're not going to fire a guy who tweets this kind of stuff.
I hope he isn’t blackballed; he deserves to be able to make a living
But it’s about the reputation and a large group of parents holding them to account.
