ME because this world and human memory are static, it’s the multiverse that shifted.

I used JD equipment almost every day from the time I was about 7-8yrs old and then I worked selling the equipment for almost a year in college. I remember the first time I saw the "Deere" (online ad), I started looking online for the company thinking it was maybe the European spelling and I saw that the entire company was named this which is not what I saw every day. I grew up in one of the largest farming area's in the US and there were John Deer tractors everywhere, our equipment was JD.

Words have a feeling, especially when there is symmetry in words, like a two word name where each word has 4 letters. It has a different feeling than a name that has a 4 letter word and then 5 letter word. On top of that being an area with a lot of deer, I would have been very aware of a different spelling from the animal, especially since their logo IS a deer, not a "deere" or "Dee-Re".

When I looked up the company online I found a HUGE European company (based in France I think) that made farm equipment that looked exactly the same as JD equipment. It used the same color scheme and the exact same color tones of the green and yellow. I remember looking at the valuation of the company and the profit and it was actually much larger than JD, which I was really surprised. In fact, there was almost no John Deer products sold in Europe in comparison to this company. Now when I look for this company or any of the equipment I am unable to find anything related to it but I find LOTS of John Deere dealers and equipment in Europe, where it wasn't showing up before. It's like this other company disappeared and JD took it's place in present and historically. I would have never known about this had I not been unsettled by seeing the Deere and done research into the company names and equipment used in Europe.

I'm certain this used to be John Deer and the first time I saw it I also had the thoughts that the chinese were trying to counterfeit John Deer stuff and I remeber my first thought of "wow, they are getting quite bold, they aren't even trying to hide it any more. I can't see this not going to court" but then when I looked into the name, I knew there was something really wrong, asked some family (who are bots I think - they never notice anything or have opinions not given by MSM..) who use the equipment a lot, and they remembered it as Deere. I have a neighbor who wore a JD hat and shirt all the time with the Deer spelling and they remember it clearly as Deer.

I agree about the word-feeling-association.. I remember seeing the signs, equipment, collectables etc and noting that Deer was the same as the deer in their logo.

Saturation for the brand is high where I'm at - it's a very strong memory of Deer.

You mentioned some stuff about how some folks seem so "eagrly dismissive".. I've also noticed how the disposition of a portion of people in general have changed.

Glad to see I'm not the only one (on all counts), and thanks for sharing your experience!

I forgot the most important part of the ME construct. The multiverse shifted, and I am the only one special enough to notice.

Yep. ME believers are truly special snowflakes.

The total, utter arrogance of believing THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE changed rather than simply a failure of our very human (send therefore falible) memory is breathtaking.

Although the tractors on our farm were Fords, the predominant brand in the rural area that I grew up in were John Deere. Yes, Deere.
Always been Deere, not Deer.

Yeah it’s always been Deere common mistake, you didn’t uncover a glitch in the matrix, just in your comprehension and memory.

I remember them as Dear Johns, the port-o-potty manufacturer.

It softens the blow when a Dear John letter is just a bill for portable septic services.

Answer:

With 5 minutes spent on google you would of found out that is HAS always been Deere and the need for another pointless ME thread wouldn't of been needed

It is not that simple. ME believers have an answer to that. They are special and you are not one of the "Effected".

It's a license to troll and you might as well be arguing with a Flat Earther for all the good it will do you.

It says IN THE OP that it has always been "Deere".

With 1 minute reading the OP you would of found that everyone already knows that - and the need for another pointless comment could of been avoided.

...just sayin'.

I've never heard of John Deer or John Deere.
I am a big Ministry fan though.

Can we please, please have the Ministry ME thread you promised already?

Butcherguy just showed how you are now contradicting yourself. Look up two or three posts.

Give it up dude. Your memory is faulty. Learn that humans make mistakes.

There's no contradiction at all - If you really think there is then you don't understand the Mandela Effect.

I know.. I know. You've got it all figured out.. but have you tried looking at the issue from my perspective? This isn't memory - it's knowledge - just like you know your way to work; or how to tie your shoes.

There's more to say of course - but there's effort involved I don't think you'd value.

So I guess I'll close with..

Give it up dude - this isn't a mistake.

The effort involved would be doublethink. Look it up. It's when one thing is true, but you are able to convince yourself something else is true.

I know you think your memory is perfect and you are infallible, but you, like all humans, make mistakes.

I've never said my memory is perfect - but I know you like to think that.
