This is my ME. I specifically remember a made for TV wizard of Oz with Jason Alexander of Seinfeld fame and he was dancing and I was impressed with his moves. This would have been probably early 90s. Nothing in his imdb though. Anyone else remember this?

Just taking a stab here.
Maybe it wasn't jason Alexander.
There are a few actors out there that I always get confused.

Obviously I'm wrong on something. That's why it's an ME. But what is the movie I'm thinking of!

This was not an animated film. I swear it was wizard of Oz but maybe it wasn't. I swear it was Jason Alexander but maybe it wasn't.

It was like a play, but televised.

It's not there. No one in my family remembers it but we watched it together. I remember Jason Alexander doing this tap dance and I was super impressed.

I think it was a live action event. Definitely not animated.

And it was 90s I think. Maybe early 2000s.

I think I remember him having something to do with a parody of "Wizard of Oz", maybe he was in "The Wiz" or another play. I think he was in theatre. IIRC he may have also talked about The Wiz on Sienfled and probably danced on the show as well. I do recall seeing him dance somewhere and was impressed thinking it was pretty out of character from his Sinefled role.

Also, IIRC, wasn't he on Dancing with the stars or something? Maybe he danced to some music from The Wiz or from Wizard of Oz...

I remember it too. I thought it was Emerald City, but that was a different guy.

I don't think it was very long ago though...

People confusing an unusual tv event with a common tv show. Shocking. Must be the result of universes colliding.

Maybe it was this McDonald's commercial?

I remember him wearing a brown robe/coat old fashion looking garment. I think he had a bit of a beard as well.

Can't even find an image online...

I think this is what you're referring to; however, J Alexander isn't on the cast list, and I can't decide which actor might look like Jason.
