We hope, but we shouldn't count our chickens before the eggs are hatched.

Never know with those people.

They might cheat better that go round.

Bahahaahahahaha!!!! I am looking at the msm news outlets and they are losing their frakking minds at how Trump basically gave the corrupt intelligence agencies the middle finger and agreed with Putin. Even the demoncrats are losing their minds and trying to call Trump's actions "treasonous."

The meltdown continues ahahahahahahahahah!!! Going to grab me another bag of popcorn, this is great!

Keep triggering those corrupt pieces of sh*^ Trump! MAGA!

How refreshing to see two adults address things maturely.

They both admitted each country has done wrong and then addressed and denounced all the silly reasons each has continued to meddle and inflame the other. The end of that road is mutually assured destruction sooner or later.

Not since JFK and Krushchev established a backchannel that enabled a happy ending to the Cuban Missile Crisis have we seen leaders strong enough (and actually willing) to buck the deep state systems that make peace impossible.

We share a lot in common with the Russia peoples. As nations we share a lot in common too.

Hopefully Syria will benefit from these talks and that is a good thing. Let Assad stay, kick out Iran, let the poor displaced refugees return and start rebuilding in peace, and let Isis fear both of us.

The only folk not encouraged by this common sense diplomacy are the globalists and their brainwashed puppets. Sadly they exist and we have to hear them bleat and blather even though few of them understand our history with Russia or what's at stake nor have any real solution.

For everyone else: Cheers to all of us as we witness these historic events.

If McCain is upset? Trump did the right thing, Schumer goes without saying and who cares what the Communist Brennan thinks?

Ad hominem. Ad hominem. Ad hominem.

Well done, you snuck three of them into two lines.

On topic though, does anyone think the President did us any favors by being weak in Helsinki? Was it alright for a President to side with a foreign country and badmouth his own agencies and citizens on the same day? Does anyone think he is making any friends back home acting like this, when he should be healing things instead of continually creating more division?

How was he weak? He negotiated in hopes of calming down a war which just might wipe out the population of the whole world rather than puff out his chest like you are because you are still upset you lost an election?

I will damn sure vote for Trump again, and I am sure many more will as well if you guy who lost the last election keep up this behavior.

I am more worried about going to war with those of you who think like you do in that because you lost the election you are willing to burn this country to the ground throwing you hissy fits than I am Russia, if you want to be honest about things.

I have no doubt that you'll vote for him again. He could eat your kids and you still would.

I'll explain what he did and you tell me if this is weak or not. He rebuked our own country, and said that the reason for the tensions between us are because of our own foolishness and stupidity and we are to blame. In turn he did nothing to rebuke Russia and their actions, even two days after charges against military agents are filed. He may as well have turned around and bent over for Putin.

Weak or strong?

That's not an exact representation of what he did, Kharron. First let me ask you this---are you familiar with Cold War history? This is important. Without understanding that aspect folk are prone to making assertions that are either built on false premises or put conditions on diplomacy that are not realistic and miss the point.

Might want to be careful with the name calling, it is a good way to get banned. You sound like you might be suffering from trump derangement syndrome.

I grew up with Russia as the "enemy". There's no real denying that for much of that time, they kinda were...

Ronnie Ray-gun...does that sound familiar to anyone? Nuclear Winter? Anyone? ...and, seemingly, some want to go back to that? Really?

Russia is no more of a threat than China is if you were to put the two country's on a comparable scale. I'm all for more diplomacy with Russia, what could be wrong with talking with them and getting to know what their true intent is? Keep your friends close and your enemies closer? If you really want to paint Russia as the "bad guys" that is...

There's really no way to say this other than

Bull#.

They paid to run ads on facebook, and made some twitter posts. Ooh, the end of civilization as we know it.

DNC got hacked? Since we don't even know what's on those e-mails or what the Hell ever they are...we're supposed to go to DefCon 1?

...and, hello, Trump wasn't even President when it happened. Does that make Obama, who was, a traitor, too? Or, Clinton?

Nope. Enough with the temper tantrums, folks. The idea of the Cold War resuming over this idiocy leaves me somewhat cold.

Treason. Bull#.

I'm truly shocked and dismayed how the msm within less than 24 hours seem to come up with an endless supply of experts and stories based on Russian collusion or evidence of Russian agents infiltrating within the political system here in the USA

The head has been cut from the snake. We can watch it flop or just go on and smile. I understand people think ATS is an echo chamber for the right. I think life in public is also an echo chamber for the right. I do not meet these people with these anti Trump views in the real world. Strange that

Then again, I have a job, live in rural hard working America. Our soil dose not allow for basements.

He said our country has made mistakes. Agreed or do you not agree? He also did not go on an apology tour like Barry did. He met with an adversary and he had a discussion. That's all he did. Would you Progs rather go to war? If you do? Signp your children to fight it, or better yet You yourself volunteer to fight a war you want because you are too childish to get over losing and election!

Ever read Tsun Tzu? I suggest you do so, because your ideas are the reasons so many people die fighting over useless wars where as if 2 adults with common sense and courage to sit down and discuss our differences could save millions of lives is looked at upon as WEAK as you word it????

LMAO, you are blinded by living a life of getting a trophy by participating.

Puntin said he didn't do it "and I believe him." I don't believe my f. b.i. , I don't believe my own American justice department and I don't believe my own American c.i.a. I BELIEVE PUTIN. An American president just gave everyone in the country the middle finger. Now let's go ahead a blame the left and ignore the facts, that's the way our leader does it. To absolutely refuse to except a proven fact that Russia interfered in the 2016 election, speaks volumes to me. As far as I'm concerned, it's a act of treason.

Prove it. Find the exact verbage that states the current POTUS committed an act of treason. Make sure you cite the federal code that states that ignoring federal intelligence is a crime.

Your expectations for Trump are really low, man. They've been talking all the time, just not in person normally, or in the same room.
