Because they genetically engineered us from monkeys, and gave us some slight enhancements: Talking and thinking.

The experiment was to see what happens in a world of primitive animals, when they upgrade one species of monkeys to be able to talk and think a little better.

I tend to think that they’re amazed at how stubbornly primitive and violent we are despite our upgrades.

We’re still basically just living like monkeys, as we spend our lives foraging for our basic needs.

A simulation is possible but I really doubt it, and I think that idea is just popular because of the Matrix movie.

I greatly prefer the Eastern concept of everything being unreal, in the sense that it's only partially-real, based on impermanence.

It's basically the true and sophisticated version of The Matrix lol.

If i was Alien visiting this planet then I be interested into checking different beers, wine and food and watching Soccer, American Football and Rugby plus be into learning about music from all countries past and present.

This is why we'll never leave our solar system.
Because despite alien encounters and 1950's sci-fi showing us it is important.
We're still not wearing silver space suits when we go up there.
