In my view, the only reasons to test the 4 servers comms connection to the chan boards would be:

1) To allow chan board to store their MAC and IP addresses as a means of confirming which severs they are,
2) Because you want anons to jump straight from their thread into accessing original docs on the servers,
3) To be able to make large or multiple posts quickly on to chan board.
