Didn't watch the video, I, like most people, probably already think they pay to much. Between income and property tax, I get half of what I earn. I'm then taxed anytime I spend what i have left. If I'm lucky to have enough money to pass onto my family, they will take 30 percent of that as well.

I'm just assuming that this topic involved "paying a little more" for socialist utopia.

My sister is a Doctor.

Obamacare added 2 fulltime people to her small clinic just to handle the paperwork.

She now makes less than me, a lowly blue-collar worker.

Health insurance companies are regulated to death... for instance, they are only allowed to make a 2% profit.

When a silly law added pre-existing conditions, they still made a 2% profit.

So you actually have no clue what you are talking about on this subject.

As for the OP, it is nice until you add in 318 million people.

Oh! And would like to own a car... throwing Denmark in there as a comparison is just silly.

What we COULD do is throw away OBAMACARE and allow market competition over state lines.

That alone would deliver a decent service at a decent cost.

Does Denmark have a similar population size as us? Do their taxes go to as much defense spending percentage wise? Is Denmark able to be a world leader in defense and aid for the rest of the world while providing all this free stuff to their citizens?

Insurance is in general under the 80/20 rule in using premium money.

C) Obama care was a carbon copy of Romney care. Where they still allowed the insurance companies to be involved but capped the percentage profits they could make.


Every other modern country has dropped insurance companies because they are parasites and preform no healthcare related function..

A little fact that people forget when comparing these European socialist 'utopias' to the United States is these small Countries get to live their lifestyle under the protection of the U.S. backed NATO.

Denmark, a favorite used by the socialists to compare and bash the U.S., currently only pays 1.17% of their GDP yet get to live safe and secure with the full backing of the U.S. led NATO.

Let them pay their 2% minimum, or better yet, just let the U.S. worry about itself and let Europe take care of their own defense, and see how fast priorities change.

Sorry, the questions I asked you were rhetorical. I'm sure you have a socialist talking point for everything. The reality is that less government control and more capitalist competition is better for the consumer. Even with health care.

Term limits, eliminate lobbying and break up the small in network insurance networks would greatly benefit the American taxpayer. But that's no good is it. You want a government official to walk you down the street and help you buy a loaf of bread.

I pay 300 dollars a month for health care I haven't used in years. That's another 10 to 20 percent of my income. On top of the 30 percent in income tax and 15 percent in property tax I pay.

Ain't socialism great. If the government gave me a free house and free food. They could take 100 percent of my wages. Awesome win. What more do you need.

ETA: to be clear, prior to ocare I was paying about 120 a month for a catastrophe policy. High deductible and high out of pocket. Ocare is a tax, nothing more. I know many that didn't even have a catastrophe policy like I had that are now paying 300 to 400 a month.
