ATS is running smoothly.

I mean, WTF is going on? For the last few weeks there's been no slow down for me. I click on any given topic and it is THERE. No waiting. No time for me to get on my phone and catch up on my Words with Friends. Go to get another coffee? I don't have the tie for that. There's a readin to do.

Anyone else not having problems?

I will agree that this site is the slowest loading site that I visit. I still don't have time to get coffee while waiting but it's slow enough to be annoying.

I think the Russian hackers are too busy watching the World Cup.

I'm sure they'll be back in no time to wreak havoc on ATS.

I've been coming to this site for 10+ years. I have never (save for the odd day once a year) had an issue loading a page on this site. I click it, and it loads. Methinks the issue originated from your end.

All the paranoid schizophrenic posts always cracked me up.

Are all you people running ancient computers with internet explorer or something?? I don't think i've ever had problems loading ATS...and I use the full site on mobile...

It's true, there was some serious lagging here a while back but the past 2 weeks or so ago I haven't had any page-hangs at all.

Must have paid the rent!

actually now that you mention it, it has been running a bit smother.

I remember one day someone sort of hacked ATS and everybody had the same pic of a chick for avatar.

That was kind of fun for all except Skeptic Overlord.

Why do you assume your experience is like everyone else's? There has been a widespread slowdown issue affecting many people that has been widely reported. I, too, have been coming here over ten years on a near daily basis, and I definitely, without a doubt, experienced severe issues these last few months. If you didn't, good for you, but don't assume your own personal experience is valid for everyone.

So the quantum time crystal backups are running smoothly?? And everybody's IP addressed has been mapped back to MAC and THEY know who we are. So why not?

Next thing you know they will announce https!!

There is some saying about gift horse and mouth or some such. It is very strange to type a response without the cursor stopping for a few seconds I must say!!

Was ATS the only site that was slow loading for you?

My first guess would be general internet lag...network delay or ISP lag or both.

Does ATS have different "ports" that serve content differently based on location? I remember in the bad old days of the early internet some servers would do that to compensate for problems downstream with some ISP's, but I think that practice went the way of the dodo's for the most part.

Private servers/content/IP backbones still do it for a variety of reasons though.
