Fortnite just had a one time event at 1:30pm EST. You had to be in a match at this exact time to witness the event.

Made a little video for ya. Warning, it is very loud (and very epic).

So what was the point of this? Did it unlock anything or signify anything?

It ties into the season 3/season 4 storyline.

At the end of season 3 a meteor impacted the map leaving behind a crater, a meteorite, and more. Season 4 has been about super heroes, villains, and aliens.

At one point during this season the meteorite cracked open and inside was some type of capsule for a person, presumably an alien known as The Visitor.

This missile launch and its implications i am unsure of as it quite literally just happened, but it looks like it impacted an area called Moisty Mire and has left the blue aurora crack in the sky.

Bah call me old but I don’t see why everyone is so nuts over Battlye Rolaye games, now give me Quake 3 Team Arena and I’ll be rocket jumping around raping faces oh wait I’ve had that since my first PC build. I do miss smelling the fear in my enemies at LAN Parties...

I've never played it, it seems to be all the rage now. I just have a hard time getting to involved in a game, I'm usually bored of it before the first update. I do remember loving some Unreal Tournament it was my first Lan experience. It got big while I was still in high school, during computer class I would find the previously saved work, make the changes I needed to pass it as mine, pull open another tab for UT and commence to kicking some 'A'

I get it. I rarely play the battle royale mode of fortnite. I mainly play the cooperative pve mode save the world.

My bad I forgot fortnite was a thing before it became so popolar in PUBG’s wake.

I kid, I kid... it’s the Old School PC Master Race in me that makes me give the royals kiddies a hard time.
Now speaking of Fortenite anyone on here get screwed over by PSN logging onto there fortnite account on a PS4 and it get locked exclusively to PSN? Sony is looking really ridiculous in a time where cross platform play is becoming the norm as consoles become more and more just small form factor PCs, it’s pretty sad when Nintendo is keeping up with the times more than Sony. XbONE, PC, and even the bloody switch all get to play together but Sony just has to be backwards...
That being said I own all of them but the Switch (might pick one up if they have a good priced bundle BF) then again my Wii U mainly collected dust so much so that one of my best friends has had my Wii U loaned to them for the past 18 months and I haven’t brought it up once (except to give my friend a hard time about it). It would be nice to have the Switch for my niece when she gets older.

Ah UT was a fun one, in highschool I worked out a way to completely bypass the schools nanny system (it was stupid simple once you figured it out unplug Ethernet shut restart computer once it booted in to vanilla XP plug back in the Ethernet and you could do anything you wanted once I shared this info with some friends in the computer lab we were using it for a go to source for downloading music and all kinds of other nefarious uses) it helped that the teacher was on his last year and would just zone out and we had free rein even had a key to the lab and knew when there were no classes so that was our ditch hideout. So we had pirated copies of Starcraft, Q3, UT, and some others and would lan it up it up bigtime. Ah the days of being a hellraiser....

LAN parties... oh boy that's going back.

Yea not really into the whole last man standing genre to be honest. I've kept up with gaming trends but this doesn't really appeal to me.

I apologize in advance .
A MMO "Candy Crush" style game.

Critique from a 40 year gaming veteran.
I know , "dont break the silence if you cant improve on it...."
Yet some things have to be said or done.

Just because there’s more battle royale players than sperm doesn’t mean I’m equating the two.

I'll stick with single player RPGs, can't wait for cyberpunk 2077 to come out.

Western or JRPG? I’m sure you’re excited (severe sarcasm) for FallOut 76...
I’m still flabbergasted by the steps Bethesda is making. Still love me some FallOut 3&4 (ocassionly New Vegas but it never got its hooks into me like 3 did).

Your avatar unsettles me sir.

Western stuff, I haven't looked at the new fallout too much. The last one didn't do much for me, not like 3 did. I have a backlog of games to play so most the new games aren't on my radar.

Sorry my image frightens you, it's a skin condition.

I can’t stand Jrpgs and they’ll never catch the proper spirit of Fallout 3 again not at Bethesda anyway, I’ve been pretty disappointed at there decisions as of late the creation club is crap, they’ve released too many damn versions of Skyrim while still leaving in bugs that have been around from the beginning sad to see Bethesda going the way of the likes of EA and Ubisoft. FallOut 76 is looking to be a an Online Survival RPG, a pretty bad cash in on recent gaming trends instead of doing their own thing pretty sad if it’s true it will be the only fallout game I’ll completely skip. I have a pretty big backlog as well I’ve got 400 or so games in my steam library alone so I’m rarely wanting for something to play...

I didn’t say it frightened me just unsettling a bit nothing I can’t handle no need to apologize and I think there’s a bit more than a skin condition going on there.

Western. And folks are holding their breath and being patient because it has the potential to be something we haven't seen before. See, those guys took the money from their last game and some "creative financing" to build this bad boy from scratch, toolkits and all.

I eagerly await because as it stands right now, they got my money. They are just waiting to come and take it!

That's because Beth is kept its engine alive, its why the old bugs persist. its takes time, resources, and effort to create a game engine so yea, they got lazy and are going the money whore route.

Fallout 76? It looks like a bite off Fortnight except its Fallout style. They got to show me something, since Skyrim, there has been no RPG at all, just play in our sandbox.
