AL-QAEDA today warned the West it faced defeat in its "new crusade" against the Islamic world, which would cost tens of thousands of lives and the collapse of its economy.
A videotape of the terror group's No.2, Ayman al-Zawahiri, was aired by Al-Jazeera television this morning.

Seems to me one has to take everything they seriously, even before they say it. In time I suspect, that low-life group and others will be infiltrated..

Just counting US soldier's deaths (which is what people only seem to care about) the toll has been 1,487 (Global Security). We've got years to reach that number.

Another reminder from Al-Qaeda that they still exist. Their like a forgotten movie star saying something controversial just to be in the headlines once again.

Yeah, Id have to agree. It seems like any time more money is being requested for the war on terror, the American public is deluged with this crap to scare the people so we dont say anything when the money is given.
I can not wait untill 2008.

Let me guess Kidfinger, you and halo_aura agree with Mr. Kerry's and Mr. Kennedy's assertion that Terrorism is exaggerated?

Did you miss this?

.... Zawahiri said in his message to "the peoples of the West" broadcast by the Qatar-based satellite channel.

--snip--

It was the Islamic militant leader's second message in 10 days, an audiotape having been aired by the same Qatar-based channel on February 10. That voice recording hit out at the US concept of freedom, charging that it was a cloak for spreading corruption and injustice in the Islamic world.

In a videotape broadcast by Al-Jazeera on November 29, Zawahiri vowed Al-Qaeda would pursue its fight against the United States.

Al-Qaeda number two warns West it faces thousands of dead, economic collapse

Since when did the CIA own and operate Al-Jazeera and the TV stations in Qatar, or for that matter, Qatar's satellite channels?

They're just playing with our minds dude.To keep in check our fear and paranoia towards another attack from them remains.Personally,I won't take it that hard about the comments in the video.Tell me just how many tapes they have recorded saying they'll going to attack and cause disastrous effects on their "enemy" since 9/11?

The only attacks I heard of is from some Islamic brigades that is either unrelated to Al-Qaeda or just influence from them.

Yes, that is what I believe. I know that while Bush is in office, we are not allowed to form negative opinions about him, but this is my opinion. Just like you have yours. Is that ok O' mighty Seekerof?

Did you miss this?

Apparently I did NOT miss that as I responded to the thread. It doesnt change my opinion. Every time your daddy needs more money for what ever BS he can come up with, we are fed terrorism allagories till we burst. That is a fact.

Are you really that nieve to think that America, the mightiest nation in the world, has no influence over Al-Jazeera? C'mon, your avatar speaks volums that you are refusing to admit.

Why is it that when someone has a different opinion than you, you attempt to squash it? Are you that insecure about your administration?
