I'm pretty sure that "lens flare" at around the :15 second mark (right before they went to the map) was just a CGI transition graphic, and not actual lens flare.

Now that you say that, I only watched it once the other day and it could be you saying so that makes me think so but it did look like the director JJ Abrams' lens flares he adds to many of his projects.

The UFO was quick-moving bright dot at the 06: mark...which was most likely just a bug caught in a light near the camera.

I also don't stand on the street corner looking for UFOs but the question is; when you look at the mirror does it talk back to you?
