Hey I was just looking for threads about this sighting, but I didn't see any threads about it, which surprised me. It was a very dramatic sighting that was made well-known in early 2018.

This vid shows the sighting and analyzes it, with several frames freezed to show many tiny lights in the purple cloud.

The glowing cloud itself eventually turns dark suddenly, as if a light switch was just flicked off.

The vid also finds a few frames showing a crazy UFO that flies out of the purple cloud, down to the left, and out of frame. It's a crazy spinning elongated object.

At certain times, the cloud seems to resemble a solid object floating there. The glowing mist also seems very "alive," with constant movement, the cloud is always swirling and morphing.

Actually my personal interpretation is that it's a hovering giant craft (as it resembles at certain moments), and the glowing, swirling purple mist is some kind of energy-field surrounding it. The mist seems to be cloaking the craft most of the time. The tiny sparks of light must be little craft which are entering and exiting the mothership.

The tiny UFO which flies down-left, doesn't resemble a craft. Maybe one of those space critters, those rather basic animals which are said to be floating around in space. It moves fast, like one of those "rods" that people have studied and filmed, but the object is not a rod, it's swirling and spinning apparently. Still, I'm guessing a rather unintelligent space critter which was just flying by, for whatever reason. Maybe the activity caught the thing's attention, and maybe it was just checking it out.

NOTE: THE ORIGINAL FOOTAGE IS NOT FROM SECURETEAM.

THE ORIGINAL FOOTAGE OF THE SIGHTING IS PUBLICLY AVAILABLE ON YOUTUBE.

The only reason this vid uses the one from Secureteam is because that channel had already done some nice zoomed-in shots, which was helpful to analyze it further.

And here, I'll just post the original footage too, which is this video AFAIK:

Indeed, that's interesting.

It is a different sighing though, just to be clear, it's definitely NOT the same sighting that I just made the thread about.

I wish I knew in which direction Mt. Pinutubo (sp?) was in this vid. I get this weird feeling it's earthquake lights for some reason.

Wow I never heard of Mt. Pinatubo.

I just googled some photos. What a crazy place!!

Re: the sighting: While I don't know the location of the sighting (within the Philippines), the vid does clearly show the purple-glowing cloud over the water.

While Mt. Pinatubo is part of a landmass.

Hi.
Interesting! the most startling part to me is how it just 'turns off' like a switch was flipped- wow!
The original poster of the video said it was here" "Taken Mon-El Subd. Sucat Paranaque City near SMBF. The lights where near the Airport area Pasay City."

Awesome, thanks for catching the location, and thanks for the link to the google map.

Looking at your link, and a map of St. Pinatubo, it looks like the two locations might be as close as 30 miles or so. (Just estimating that by looking at both maps.) And they're both part of the same connected landmass.

@wylekat:
Why would Mt. Pinatubo produce earthquake lights though? Is it basically just because it's a large mountain, so it might create a large effect electromagnetically, during an earthquake?

Domo arigato mr roboto

Any particular idea of your own?

Did you check? not the same place

Do you think they are doing this in other countries as well?

You see Phage you make assumptions, and you know what assumption is the mother of?

nothing good..

It's an active volcano- erupted some time back (1990-ish?). With what's going on in Hawaii, and the Philippines being in the Ring of Fire, I wonder if it might not be lurching back to life.

Not sure about the 'dots' mentioned, but the way the cloud shut off kind of looks like it was a projected light from the ground

I saw that in the original and was wondering if anyone else was gonna say anything about the "distant lightning flashes" occurring in the not so distant cloud.

Has anyone translated everything the people are saying? Obviously that could give some clues
Could solve it immediately if it is non-mysterious.

Funny enough, some people have a lot of trouble seeing those tiny dots of light. For example, when Secureteam made his vid about it, he did not seem to notice the dots of light, at all. He only focused on the cloud, only.

One thing is that a smaller monitor will make everything smaller and harder to see.

Plus, some folks have computers that don't want to play YT vids at HD, so decreasing the video quality would also obviously make it harder to see.

But beyond that, I wonder if there's a psychological factor, like maybe people don't see the dots of light, because they are too strange to understand what they are, so people's minds almost ignore it, automatically...

Should i turn that light off?

It really has no value being pointed in that direction.

Right, but the sighting is clearly over the water, not solid ground.

Potentially a boat could have been shining bright purple LED light into the sky, for no reason lol.

Also, if you look up a map of the Philippines, the islands have a lot of curves, so it just might be possible that the island curves back around in front of the camera, but out-of-sight.

Although really, that's hard to believe because the islands are small, so it's hard to imagine the land might be there, in front of the camera, but out-of-sight from being below the horizon. The islands aren't really big enough for that to happen, I'd expect.

So it seems the cloud sighting is directly over the ocean water. If there was any land in front of the camera, I believe we would see it.

I live close to a lake, and I'm speaking from experience that if there is land across the water, it will not vanish from sight because the area is not big enough for that to happen. So if there's land across the water, it may shrink to a small dark strip on the horizon, but it really won't vanish.

There needs to be massive distances for the Earth's curve to actually make something disappear under the horizon.

Haha this brings to mind the image of you throwing a party on your boat, people dancing everywhere on your boat, while blasting purple LED lights into the clouds. That would be such a fun party lol.
