So, the myth is all kinds of demons eat humans except the energy sucking ones. Why don't they ever eat anything else like animals? It is said they target humans only.

Because hearing that demons eat cows isn't scary. Demons were created to terrify.

Not all humans taste great though
It really depends on how old they are and what their diet is like.
I prefer fatter meat eaters, but not junk food eaters.

Demons are drawn to food with a soul. If anyone is interested, Wicca has a few tricks to repel Demons, like a hand full of sea salt at the four cardinal directions of your property or smudge your home with sage. Don’t forget the proper incantation or it will not completely work.
Most people don’t believe it but white witches have tremendous power, and I am not being a racist. I mean a witch that uses their knowledge for good. Good Karma is Important least the Demons will get you Bahahahah!

Well in Christianity, you could assume they want to devour us because we are loved more than angels (demons being fallen angels), they are the opposite of what God has called them to, so they are vengeful, racist(in a cosmological sense) and jealous.

In Wicca, what place do Demons have? I guess I dont know their origins in Wiccan; seems as though there are factions but whats the relationship and premise for the animosity?

Just bad because they are Demons?

I'm not sure that imaginary beings actually eat.

I do know that those who believe in them believe that they are eating the soul/spirit when they eat the flesh and drink the blood.

They believe that they can get power from the combined sacrifice/worship of demons and eating the flesh.

The idea probably comes from the concept that Jesus laid forth in the last supper. Where they were eating his body and drinking his blood as a way to comune with the Holy Spirit.

Those who believe in demons will mirror the rituals intended for good by performing similar rituals on behlaf of demons. And thus comune with Satan.

Because they taste good.

You should try human if you ever get a chance.
You will be pleasantly surprised.

Abundance, for one thing. They can make a big platter of us. Maybe some kind of barbeque sauce on the side, or honey-mustard -- a nice vinaigrette if too sweet (like me) whatever you like. Endless possibilities. Mmmm. Finger-lickin good.

Because they are made up to scare us.

Humans are animals...look around or read the paper or tune in the 6 o'clock news. Animals worthy of Demon food...why not ? And humans taste like chicken.

Because you need to stop furiously pleasuring yourself with onion skins. Switch to Garlic and you'll be fine... SMH

It would make sense that there are memetic parasites that feed upon consciousness.

But I don't think that there is any ancient scriptural reference to demonic entities actually eating humans.

Why do demons only possess old ladies and little kids?

Why don't they possess Brock Lesnar or some other muscle man?
