Jupiter and Saturn will appear closest in the sky for 800 years on December 21st.

The Great Conjunction & The "Age Of Aquarius" cosmic event starts December 21, 2020, coincidentally, the day of December solstice. It’ll be the first Jupiter-Saturn conjunction since the year 2000, and the closest observable Jupiter-Saturn conjunction since 1226.
