Scout and Shooter (Rampage Missile)

Hi Guys and Girls,

I found the IAI / IMI Rampage missile very interesting:

With the F16/F15 carrying the Rampage missile and the F35 acting as the Scout.

I my tiny mind it makes alot of sense, the F15/16 out of the way and the F35 finding the targets close in.

Its less about using the F-35 for recon but aboutdefeating the Syrian AD. Their subsonic guided ordnance has a hard time against Pantsirs and the like, in almost every sortie some got shot down. A (cheap) supersonic missile with a robust guidance package will make the Job of intercepting them much harder.
Of course they could just stick to the ground launched version and safe even more money.

I'm sure that the F35 will be used in some form of Recon during every live mission.

Personally if a LO platform can find a target and pass back the targeting info I'd use it.
