I think that the meaning here is conventional weapons. However if the modifications that I heard of ever happen some of the Ohios will take the Most Heavily Armed title. I remember reading that there is a plan to rework the Ohio's 24 Trident missile tubes so that each one would hold 6 Vertical Launched Tomahawk missiles. This would give the modified Ohio's 196 Tomahawks in addition to the torpedos that it currently carries for self-defense. Park that puppy off of someone's coast and totally ruin their day.

My previous post was in error. The plan calls for only 22 missile tubes to be modified to carry 7 Tomahawks each. I believe that I listed each tube as carrying 6 missiles when I ment to say 8. The correct number of missiles is 154.
