So again, now we have a civil case against the Clintons, the Clinton Foundation et al. Typically, in a civil case, the palnitif is looking for recompense for a wrong that can be measured in monetary value.

I don't know how demanding criminal charges with a civil case works. If you look at the last page of the brief, where you would usually see a claim for damages, punative or otherwise, there is a single sentence with a demand for criminal charges against all parties.

I'm not sure that a judge, even if he/she rulled in favor of the plaintif, would be able to compel a police department, district attorney, or any other governmant official to act.

Don't get me wrong, the brief is pretty extensive, and in depth. I guess filing it with the court gets it into the official record of the court, but beyond that, I don't know what this accompishes.

Again, I'm not trying to pee in the pool, just trying to stay level and not get too excited.

Pennsylvania Rule of Criminal Procedure 506 permits an individual to file criminal charges against another person on his or her own. This rule can be found in Purdon’s Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes Annotated and the Rules of Court.

Maybe Mr. Byrne is on to something, given he has an address in Pennsylvania.

What's puzzling is that the case was filed in the District of Columbia. The previous case, from 2015, was filed in Florida.

Maybe there is a method to the madness.
