All of us beer drinkers have our go-to brew and some thing that goes with it.I think I have found my favorite brew and already had a couple of foods that really go well together. This weekend I tried some of Chattanooga Brewing Company Chestnut Street brown ale,all I can say is wow, wunderbar. This brew is as good as the browns I fell in love with while I was in New Zealand TDY in the `80s.A good brat, dressed up with spicy brown mustard and sweet and hot peppers-OMG,love it.Gotta try some pretzals and maybe pizza next.If you are a brown ale lover ,try this one if you can find it,Lager,Pilsner,IPA folks, what are some good beer/food combos you would recommend?

Where to start! I love craft beers, but my favorite at the moment are the Brew Dog brewery. They make one called Elvis Juice which has a bit of grapefruit.
Also I think Steamship and great Lakes Breweries are epic. As far as food....BBQ

Iv always been partial to a crisp west coast IPA alongside with some spicy Asian shrimp skewers/stirfry whatever... more of a spicy ginger side than the “normal” soy / hoisin Asian food thing.

Maybe some Barrel aged stout with chocolate cake for dessert 😎

Also, a nice check (sp?) pils goes good with about anything.

And since it’s aboit breakfast time... I could go for some lager and OJ right now

Beer goes the best with Brats. Johnsonville is my favorite type of Brat.

Hot dogs...so so

Hamburgers...not bad.

It seems to go good with spare ribs too, I guess it helps to absorb the collagen and elastins from the fat cells and high collagen meat around the ribs and backbone..

Beer is great with fried chicken. South Korea has built a whole industry around it.

Beer is also great with Thai food, chicken wings, poutine, pizza, and even sushi.

Please don't. Have an Allagash White and a nice smoked pork product instead.

I don't really drink much, if ever, but I used to love...

Seared Ahi tuna smothered in mango salsa and a Red Stripe Jamaican lager.

Mmm we have a Brew Dog pub in the same building I work in, the bar has something like 50 taps, all craft ales, lush.

Yes I enjoy drinking beer while eating food. They go well together!

In seriousness, pizza and a session IPA for the win. Or a stew with some red ale.

Hi folks, due to my job I get to experience a wide variety of beers.

Since the weather in the UK is so nice at the moment, in assuming alot of us brits are having a bbq.

The best beer to go with bbq food is clwb tropicana from tiny tebel. There from Newport in Wales but somehow made it taste of hawaii. The hops provide big punchy fruity flavours of passionfruit pineaplle and mango. Its fruit juice but a beer.

Seriously either try a pint of it or get a few cans.

Bloody brilliant.

Gawd, there are so many good (and just as many crappy) beers out there now a days, that this becomes a tough question to answer. I'll stick to some strange-ish pairings you might not have considered.

I suggest some strong stout, like Obsidian from Deschutes Brewery, with chocolate anything. Cake, cupcakes, chip pancakes, s'mores, Count Chocula cereal!! Erm... brownies. Especially if the chocolate treat has some espresso powder in it. They just work real well together!

This might be weird at first sight. Smoked porter and apple pie! Yup. I said it. The smoke and sweet, after a brief shin kicking contest on your taste buds, actually become this smooth, collaborative, string piece that is pleasant to listen to! And it has good beat you can dance to!

For those adventure seekers out there, I have one for you that sounds like I have eaten too many free range mushrooms and have went around the bend! A sour beer (aka, farmhouse ale) and cheese. Think about it. The sour ale is similar to both wine and balsamic vinegar and both of those go well with something like a brie or a blue cheese. Any cheese that is really tangy or stinky, it cuts that down, and makes both (even if you hate them separately) pair really well together. Add in some bacon wrapped figs... drool!!!

I like coffee porter milk shakes! Take several scoops of vanilla ice cream and slowly pour the porter over (it will foam), add a shot of Kahlua if you want, best milkshake you ever had!

S+F!
